Alex Jones - The Obama Deception - Page 26

Author: Edward L Winston
Added: August 18th, 2009

This is page twenty-six of my discussion on the Alex Jones film The Obama Deception. If you were linked here by mistake, please refer to page one of this article, which contains the introduction.

[Barack Obama]
We cannot continue to rely only on our military, in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.

This was from a speech in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 2, 2008. The part of the speech quoted was discussing that we need to expand diplomacy for national security, not just the military. The "civilian national security force" he's referring to is the Peace Corps, which he says in the previous to last sentence[2].

[Alex Jones]
President Obama and his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel have repeatedly stated on the record that all Americans below the age of 64, will be forcibly conscripted into federal service.

No, they haven't.

[Rahm Emanuel]
Citizenship is not an entitlement program. It comes with responsibilities.

[Lapse]

Everybody somewhere between the ages of 18-25 will serve three months of basic training and understanding, in a kind of civil defense.

As I said at the beginning of this article, about this:

The context is taken out intentionally by conspiracy theorists. It's almost impossible to find a clip of this interview that isn't cut down to a couple of minutes with some kind if conspiracy theorist commentary added in. What he was speaking about was anyone who gets involved in civil programs, such as the civil engineers, Peace Corps, etc - "everyone" that volunteers will receive "basic training" relating to whatever it is they're joining. Essentially, as he even states, it's a copy of similar programs during the Clinton years; even then the US didn't have a large paramilitary organization[3]. The entire interview is about the book he co-authored with Bruce Reed, entitled The Plan: Big Ideas for America and had nothing to do with Barack Obama. This interview happened a little over two years before Rahm Emanuel was appointed Chief of Staff[4].

Rahm even says 25, why does Alex Jones say 64?

[Barack Obama]
Now, it doesn't always have to be service in uniform. One of the things that, if you talk to our generals they are desperate for, is a civilian counterpart to our military forces.

Again, he's talking about things like the Peace Corps and other civilian non-combatant organizations[443b].

[Back to Rahm Emanuel interview]

[News Anchor]
So is this compulsory, then?

[Rahm Emanuel]
Alright, well...you have to, in the sense that it's required of everybody, 18 to 25, three months. And at some point, at that point, you do it. Obviously, I'm not gonna sit here and perfect legislation; we'll work that process through.

[Anchor]
You could do it during a college summer.

[Rahm Emanuel]
Right. I could do it any time. You could do after high school.

He's talking about, in his book, the prospect of universal service of things like the Peace Corps other civil service tasks bringing the country together.

Keep in mind that:
1) This isn't to be considered law, it's from a book (though conspiracy theorists did the same thing with the North American Union)
2) It's from August, 2006[443].

This is yet another case of Alex Jones taking suggestions and ideas and saying they're fact.

[Webster Tarpley]
If you have a demagogue with a fanatical mass movement, a personality cultist, who is imposing the program of a group of extreme bankers and finance oligarchs, that's fascism.

So, I guess the only thing that separates Barack Obama from Alex Jones is banking.

[Alex Jones]
Obama's transition site, Change.gov, proclaimed that middle school and high school students will be forced to serve the Federal Government.

Let's see what it actually says:

"Obama and Biden will call on citizens of all ages to serve. They'll set a goal that all middle school and high school students engage in 50 hours of community service a year, and develop a plan for all college students who engage in 100 hours of community service to receive a fully-refundable tax credit of $4,000 for their education.

"...

"The Obama-Biden administration's volunteer initiatives are still taking shape, but take a moment now to let us know that you're interested, and we'll keep you posted on all the latest developments.

So, it's voluntary just like Obama stated previously?[444]

Apparently 50 hours of community service is just the most horrific slave labor Obama could think of. This is typical of conspiracy theorists, you almost never see them ever do anything for their communities. Almost everything they do is some kind of emotional/movement masturbation; another good example is the Zeitgeist Movement.
