That munchies crap you and the media are always spew is total disinformation and lies, giving the public the perception of binge eating and lazy sleepiness.
Using Cannabis does the opposite!
It energizes and actually takes away any complusion to overeat.
It makes you creative, makes you think better, making you wiser, helps you to focus.
It keeps you awake, incase you’re lethargic.
It will curb addictions of all kinds and with regular use will actually heal your addictions.
In short, it’s likely the fruit that the Bible discribes as The Knowledge of Good and Evil!

For those who get hungry on it, probably are smoking pot that is harvested too late, is of poor quality, and whose user is already malnurished, a frequent fluoride user and is screwed up (compromised with making wrong decisions on a regular basis) to start with.

I agree. Somebody else in the comments said that it heals post traumatic stress disorder and depression. I mean, if there's any root cause I can pin down for being given free sessions by the healthcare system at a psychologist, it's because I used marijuana heavily in the past 6 months. It's total bullshit to claim that it's good for your mental health.

I mean marijuana use itself is an escape mechanism similar to how bulimia is a way to release tension. It's pretty harmless itself, but it's the patterns you develop from using it that are damaging.

HAHA HILARIOUS.

I mean it's just so bad to suggest that it's regular use is a great and wonderful thing. I've lost probably $10,000+ in income because of it (not just from spending money on it, but endless sick days, etc,). My experience tells me that my case is far from isolated for people who use it, too.

Cannabis is a harmful substance that will cause changes in the brain with prolonged use.

It is not a healthy thing to use and it should never, ever be legalized.

If it's ever legalized, tax the shit out of it.

I personally don't fall on either side of the drug debate, as I don't use drugs and I don't care.

The reason why it's not legalised, in my opinion, is because of the difficulty of working out how to tax it.

@Wolf Bird: no, but I don't spend money on it anymore.

One of the biggest lies you'll hear from potheads is "you can't get addicted to it."

Horse shit of the worst degree. The pot from the 1970's is not the same pot we have out there today. There ARE addictive chemicals in it now.

Well I don't think you get addicted to the substance so much as you do the results of using it. The release of tension is a very strong thing. It's very easy to get home at 5 o'clock and stand out the front of your house (we do that here so the neighbours can't work out where it's coming from, if they smell it :p) having two or three joints before you even have dinner, if you've had a hectic day.

Oh dear. For me it's just an escape from the overwhelming series of unique pressures that I've had since I moved to Melbourne last June. Pretty much all my time has involved finding ways to escape haha.

Pot should absolutely be legal and taxed accordingly. If people choose to overuse it to such an extent that it damages their lives, that's their responsability.

Many on the right wing (and the left sometimes too) bang on about the nanny state, well how about not dictating to people what they can or can't put in their own bodies.

Any hard-drugs should not be legalised, you can't compare weed with PCP. That's like saying the offlicense should be allowed to sell bottles of pure alcohol just because they can sell you a sixpack of beer.

That's the thing, people think pot is harmless when it isn't. There's a reason that the Netherlands stopped making it available to tourists - it was causing crimes.

I've never said it's harmless, although it's relatively harmless compared with coke and PCP.

Having lived in Holland for a long time I can tell you it was NEVER causing crimes, the crimes were guys selling other harddrugs out on the street and this is the case everywhere when large groups of toursists come together. When I was in Paris I couldn't go down some major streets in the city centre without some guy offering coke and the likes.

Basically Senor wants the shit legalized that he wants to use.

It ain't any deeper than that. Selfish, juvenile outlook.

I love how we're saying 'any hard drugs shouldn't be legalised', when the two that the hardest and biggest killers are legal - tobacco and alcohol.

I remember reading an article somewhere once where an Australian politician said "there's no place for drugs in our society". Well, I've got news for that person - they're called clubs.
