^ I'd agree with that. TZM doesn't do much but make attempts to protect it's imaginary image. You would think with all the TZM members preaching about the future why wouldn't they be building or researching technologies instead of wasting time going after people who happen to have relevant criticisms of the cult. I understand when one needs to have types of dialogue towards criticism but not to excess. When a group is blowing more time trying to silence or defame it's critics not only is this group asking for bigger problems but in fact they are doing nothing at which that group was originally preaching and instead of taking the roles of scientists they adopted the roles of preachers and missionaries with no real science to back them up they will look like crazy people in the eyes of rational/logically thinking people.

Ultimately TZM has become a small fan based cult that worships Peter Joseph and his movies and will adopt Peter's ideology because he is their savior as well as recite the chosen ones words.

Ed's blog, the latest in his weird obsession with me, illustrates one of the reasons why TZM will never be taken seriously.

Not once has Ed taken on my specific criticisms of the Zeitgeist Movement or its ideology. He (and VOR) have only ever responded by claiming "the movies aren't the movement" or "Peter Joseph is not a leader," accusing me of "ad hominems" (totally misunderstanding/misusing that term) and "guilt by association" (again misusing the term). Not once has Ed ever addressed the conspiratorial aspects of Zeitgeist directly. Every single argument he's ever made against me is a deflection--trying to convince people to ignore me because I'm a "troll," which in his view automatically makes anything I say invalid by definition.

This is why I stopped posting comments on his blog, and why I won't post a comment on this one even though it is directly aimed at me. It's pointless. He will never engage with substantive criticism of Zeitgeist. NEVER.

Zeitgeist is full of cranks and conspiracy nuts. They refuse to acknowledge this, and so long as critics with valid concerns are dismissed as "trolls," they will never achieve any degree of respectability or mainstream cachet.
