I'm not sure I think it was made by CUNY, a university. I don't think a TZMer would have made this because frankly it wasn't all that flattering.

Maybe this time when Peter makes a fourth film they'll finally get millions of members and all of the confusion about what TZM is really about will be cleared up, just like it was earlier this year with the release of the third film. Then in three more years the fifth film will do it again. I frankly cannot see how TZM won't change the world with just movies and a single minded dictator in charge.

Maybe if they started doing something as a group...like Wolf Bird did as an individual. Building houses for the poor.

But maybe they need to go make a few youtube videos about it first.

Help first, preach later.

And many other problems:

http://conspiracies.skepticproject.com/articles/the-zeitgeist-movement/</p>

But the main one of just doing nothing at all and saying "trust us, let us control the world first and then we'll prove we're going to do good" and then wondering why people just don't believe you... well, I don't know, maybe Vasper85 can explain why they believe that.

I really doubt most of them can be bothered to do anything involving real people, especially a 'Sheeple'. Especially the TZMers that care about one thing, and that's spreading the CT mindset.

Also, I really think it's arrogant that they say 'trust us, let us control the world!' when they talk about insane stuff on their forums. Like doing away with the elderly or pets. That kind of stuff does not make the people you want to help love you, sorry.

I am home schooling my son, he is four now, I really can't imagine putting him in school.

my daughter is 20-if you have a son that young--yeah--I would not put him thru the conventional school system either--school's are not only ignorant but dangerous places to be.

What is more important, making the grade or learning useful material? Whenever I tell someone that I am homeschooling my son they act as if he does not have contact with the outside world and he will be a lonely isolated child...which seems to be exactly the opposite of a homeschooler. Rather than sitting at a desk surrounded by walls he will be experiencing learning in a much more hands on and involved approach. Each day is something new and exciting.

That's sad. Also, four year olds don't go to school. They go to daycare.

@ Roxette, to be frank at first I thought the reluctance was because they weren't ready, or because the Venus Project said not yet, or because they were a no-profit, or because they were anti-money, but as time wore on, the excuses ran out. For me it became an indefensible position.

Peter Merola is of the opinion that if people rise up as one and reject the current order en masses by refusing to participate that a new, more enlightened, system will be brought to light. But only if enough people are aware. Let's say that happened, are the majority of people knowledgeable enough to come up with a whole new economic infrastructure from the ground up? I would say that the people in the movement cannot "arrive" at a single definition of what the RBE would even look like. Thus the endless discussion.

Unless your intentions are to bring about dramatic change through violent revolution (which Marx discusses as the inevitable clash between classes) then such a transition as Peter envisions will never take place.

Otherwise change comes by degrees. Slow and sure. Which is why I subscribe to technological determinism (thanks for defining that for me CJ).

I'm going to put both my kids into regular school. It was good enough for me, it will be good enough for them. I will encourage them to read topics of their own choosing outside their curriculum as it can complement and enrich their education. And because nobody likes a dumbass.

Yup, that's the main point. People aren't going to pre-purchase a blueprint for a better world when all you've done so far is badmouthing the competition and write a sales letter for your imaginary product.

There has to be a qualification process that sorts out people who just want to promote naive and false ideas and keeps those in who are actually qualified to develop new approaches to solve economic, social and technological problems.

INET, although I don't really agree with a lot of their stuff, has managed to do this pretty well: They get experts from numerous economic fields and try to weave their approaches into an integrative theory.

Yeah Peter Joseph responded.

I thought Peter did a quiet rage throughout the whole video response. It's interesting to see how he tries to make this video out to be in ways a educational video however throughout the video one can see it's to protect Peter's ever so frail ego.

I thought most of Peter's responses were more like a guy trying to cover up a crime by again saying Zeitgeist 1 is not the movement. Towards the middle Peter defends the 9/11 truth movement and all conspiracy theory's in general (seems to have done a 180 again). Peter is very specific to say that he rarely meets a CTer within TZM or better yet he has yet to meet a individual who joined TZM after watching Zeitgeist 1.

Peter then again tries to debunk the Jared Lee Loughner statement suggesting their is a conspiracy to stop him and his movement by media mainly in America and it's government. Peter then inserts information that Loughners EX best friend was only Loughners best friends up till 2008 and that somehow the logical conclusion is that how could his ex best friend know what Jared Lee has been doing since 2008 therefore His ex best friend saying Jared was into Zeitgeist 1 movie is not logical. First you have to be naive to say that EX best friends don't talk to each other once and awhile or that with the means of the internet one can just go onto Jared's facebook and see what he's into. If his friend didn't give a crap about Loughner he would of made no response at all. He obviously cares a lot for his friend and thought by making that very statement would help others understand Loughner as well others who may get caught up within the Zeitgeist movement.

Peter then makes a really weird logic word salad of nothing. Suggesting that Zeitgeist Addendum came out at 2008 and therefore Loughner didn't have enough time to watch the movies that fueled him to commit such acts. I'm not sure where Peter was coming from but it seems to be a type of following only a conspiracy theorist would connect and believe in. I can't say it enough how jumbled Peter's thought patterns were just in that statement alone it just sounds so nutty but in a way interesting hos Peter invents his own conspiracy theory's and actually believes in them.

Peter then goes into how he doesn't debate anymore but says that if anybody were to debate him he would debate them into a fetal position. PETER DOES NOT HAVE A EGO PROBLEM YOU DO! The thing that bothers me when Peter makes such a statement is that he really is not in a debate to find the truth but to only push his agenda and if you cross his frail ego he will make you pay.

Most of his crap is word salads and BS that's hard to understand. When it comes to Kathy Olmsted who basically calls Zeitgeist 1 a conspiracy theory promotional tool Peter then starts in that she knows nothing about the Zeitgeist Movement yet she didn't really talk about TZM but only was specifically talking about TZM 1. The only time she really talked about TZM was when the guy told her something about TZM having 500k people in it she responded questioning if it's possible to really claim to have 500k internet members which basically suggests she's questioning the amount of members TZM really has to make such a claim.

I didn't think this "60 Minutes" video was that bad. I think this is yet another case of showing how the leader of the Zeitgeist Movement who is Peter Joseph has such a frail ego that he can't take one ounce of what he perceives as criticism.

"Hi my name is Peter Joseph Merola, I say I am going to refuse to debate with people about zeitgeist but every time a new video comes out that shows me and my fans to be a bunch of idiots I will make long winded and irrelevant retorts in audio and video. That way my fans can feel better about themselves and have a video they can thumb up instead of thumb down."

I didn't want to make another separate topic just to clutter up the place with another TZM topic, but I had to share this example of Zeitgeister "logic."

Someone on Twitter replied to me indignantly, "We are not a cult! We are a peaceful movement!" I replied back that TZM is about conspiracy theories and a personality cult of Peter Joseph Merola. She replies: "Your wrong! Don't assume things with out giving it some research. We advocate the real truth of the social issues we are facing!"

I replied that I had researched TZM for 2 years and knew full well what they were about.

Her response: "If you researched the movement for 2 years you would have become a member. Is only logical!"

Classic. Zeitgeisters automatically assume that if you disagree with them it must be because you don't know what the movement is about, and conversely if you know what it's about you'll automatically agree with it.

That point of view is so arrogant, and asinine to boot. They really do think their ideology is that good. There's no getting through to these people. They don't even realize they're in the Peter Merola Fan Club and doing absolutely nothing to change the world.
