Doomies are either getting desperate or someone is trolling them. Or Poe.

The funny part is that it might just work out. I'm not sure how old the original pic is, but both Reddit & 9GAG list it as six days old with 838.1M views. We're at 881.9M views now, so assuming linear growth we're at 7.3M views per day. If we extrapolate, we'll reach 1000M views in 16.2 days which would be the 20th or 21st of December, depending on your local time zones.

When a theory's predictions are not born out by the facts, it should be rejected. So it should be with the theory that Nostradamus is a great prophet.

The fact that Nostradamus can be interpreted, and is interpreted in hundreds of different ways for the very same quatrains, should be enough to invalidate the claim for any rational thinking mind immediately.

There are no prophesies of Nostradamus that have ever come true, reason being is his prophesies were so vague and untranslatable into specifics that it could be possible to use retrodiction to fudge them into meaning multiple things.

The only specific prophecy Nostradamus ever appears to have made is this:

In the year 1999 and seven months
From the sky will come the great King of Terror
He will bring back to life the great king of the Mongols
Before and after war reigns happily

Some thought that this prophesied the end of the world,- others thought it foretold a world revolution. Both camps were mistaken because no such cataclysm occurred in July of 1999. Nostradamus's one specific prediction turns out to be false.
