"The "suicide note". This guy was smart...

"^I was thinking the same. Great mind. Not 'perfect', but definitely on the path. Actually it's mighty creative and coherent and such. We should be blessed to have this letter, as it shows sanity in what could be considered an insane act." - Audity

-----

"His actions illustrate a need to change things in a way that decreases/minimizes the opportunity by which "crime" emerges.

Sanity is a matter of perspective.

Those people who work for the IRS... are they more criminal than Joe?" - GavinPalmer1984

"The lady in Huntsville, AL who killed co-workers did so because she did not get tenure.

Both of these are similar. I blame the illogical non-management of resources, creating inequality. I blame the lack of representation inherent in centralized governments, creating inequality.

Wealth is power because of centralization and illogical distribution of resources." - GavinPalmer1984

-----

"This is my first post on these forums and I don't think it could come at a more perfect time. I just started learning about the ZG movement the other day and this act directly relates to the ZG ideals. It's unfortunate that he did what he had to do, but he wanted to send a message to the government and I think he achieved that. We can use this sort of thing as fuel, to show the desperateness of the people that are slaves to the monetary system. We should support his confessions, but spread the word that crashing planes into buildings is only what true terrorists (the government) do." - adamico66

-----

"What a powerful suicide note. That guy really needed to hear about TZM for sure. He suffered just like I/we used to before knowing that there's an alternative system growing below the surface. He ends his letter with "violence is the only answer"- what a mistake." - MikeG

-----

"Powerful stuff.

And I completely agree with him. While right now it is about awareness and knowledge ... soon that WILL turn to violence, and we will see who has the jewels to carry on and who doesn't. Whether you like violence or not, it's going to happen at some point.

I applaud Joe, and I hope that he truths in his story are exposed everywhere. I see that CNN has simply labeled him as a guy that hates the IRS and didn't pay his taxes. Good ol' manipulative news!" - christopherknapp

"I wouldn't go calling IRS agents innocent.

They have the bloodiest hands of them all." - Im in position

"What creeps me out is that I have been eating mostly peanut butter and bread the past few days as I'm short on money, and happened to be eating peanut butter and Ritz crackers while reading his suicide letter. Creepy... lol" - MindReaver

Crikey some of those members are the ones who attack you when you make posts against their movement.

I would like to see what would happen if any of them managed to gain a pilots license and a copy of microsoft office.

Perhaps if any of these kids were old enough to remember the Unabomber or McVeigh they would have a different take on the IRS building incident.

I'd love to hear Brenton spin how this thread is a positive thing for his little club. Probably some retarded rhetorical rant about how pushing pencils for the IRS is no different than bombing civilians or something.

Goddamn IRS. Its their fault I have to exist on Ritz crackers and peanut butter.

One of the funniest ironies about the whole IRS thing is, many of the biggest haters of the IRS literally are not required to report their income because of how small it is, and if they _do_ report their income they always get a _return_ -- if you're under 18 (as many TZM members likely are) you always get a return, no matter what because you're a minor.

So the IRS would benefit them every single year. But of course, we listen to rich people and let them tell us what we should think about the IRS. In fact Stack was rich, at least what I'd consider rich, anyone who can own a plane, even if it's a Piper Cherokee is what I'd call rich.

>> Both of these are similar. I blame the illogical non-management of resources, creating inequality. I blame the lack of representation inherent in centralized governments, creating inequality.

Both were really well off individuals who benefitted from the inequality in America. They weren't hoping for Socialism, they both had six figure incomes and homes.

>> What a powerful suicide note. That guy really needed to hear about TZM for sure.

He grew up during the Cold War, I guarentee there was no way he'd ever, EVER buy into it. Most of his rant was basically the same shit you hear from Reaganites, the only exception is the quote of Karl Marx at the end which was unexpected.

>> And I completely agree with him. While right now it is about awareness and knowledge ... soon that WILL turn to violence, and we will see who has the jewels to carry on and who doesn't. Whether you like violence or not, it's going to happen at some point.

This guy seems to be the most in touch with reality, even though by his second paragraph you can tell he is still off in some dream land. The amount of TZM members who claim that violence for their revolution isn't necessary makes the movement laughable. We can all hope and work towards non-violent outcomes, but come on.

>> What creeps me out is that I have been eating mostly peanut butter and bread the past few days as I'm short on money, and happened to be eating peanut butter and Ritz crackers while reading his suicide letter. Creepy... lol

If that's the case, this guy could get a couple of grand if he files a return, assuming he has a job at all. Of course, he likely won't because he thinks its fightin' the man, so he'll miss out on some hot meals because he fails to research anything Peter Joseph tells him

When I ate nothing but ramen noodles, I blamed a lot of things for my misfortune. But I can't say the IRS was ever one of them.

Perhaps these kids don't understand how extreme their rhetoric sounds because they live in an echo chamber.

I suppose a certain type of economist would point to the unseen consequences of the income tax. By taxing higher incomes at higher marginal rates, the income tax disincentivizes the accumulation of capital which could have gone into starting new businesses, building factories and so forth to give the rest of us a higher living standard. In the real world, however, lower marginal tax rates on the highest earners, especially rentiers, apparently causes them to create speculative bubbles which can wipe out the savings of collateral victims when they collapse.
