Skeptic Project

My previous post incited some desperately needed debate concerning a political platform. The fact remains that not a single member could explain why it is a bad idea. There were many who could explain how impossibly difficult such a task would be and many more who could explain how unlikely such an ambition is to succeed. It is now my goal to prove how absolutely necessary this ambition is. PLEASE NOTE THE MOVEMENT I AM SUGGESTING IS NOT TZM OR TVP.

The following is a bastardized version of a POSSIBLE MODEL for peaceful social transformation from modern society into a more efficient and productive one.

Before you read this assume that I have enough money to launch the website and maintain it for 2 years on my own without needing funding. If the website should expand beyond my financial capabilities then it has become self sufficient or it has failed.

1St Stage:
A blueprint for an online academy must be designed. The website must facilitate social and business networking. This website will offer free online classes and apprenticeship programs to all members. Initially there will be limited seats but as the program expands it will encompass all areas of academic study and trades. This website will advocate small businesses and provide them with not only the exposure they need but the workforce to accomplish the task. The academy will eventually take physical form provide free education and hopefully replace modern universities. The academy will not only serve to inform and employ the worlds population but will also serve as a primitive model for a central cybernated system. The website will network people and integrate activist movements into a larger and more organized movement further spreading word of the zeitgeist movement and venus project.

2nd Stage:
As the website grows and so does the academy employing more individuals and providing benefits to its members. Such benefits might include better quality service for less money, free health care, free transport etc...(note: it will be clearly known that the goal is to design, perfect, and implement a resource based economy as soon a possible). The academy will provide students to master tradesmen who operate their own business in exchange for reduced prices for the movements members. This way the movement can easily compete with the economic powers who would normally bankrupt MOM+POP shops. The academy must at first operate like a business which takes from the big chain stores and gives to its people and its infrastructure...all while under direction from the council.

3rd Stage:
The academy is now also a business and union. Each member of the movement is a free and equal person, an international citizen....a human. At this point there will need to be an abundance of intelligent representation. The movement has gone beyond tipping cars at G20 rallies and progressed into informed discourse. You may have groups of citizen members-purchasing business outside of the movement and then finding ways to integrate it into the academy/council. Significant numbers of population in centralized areas who are able to form a voter body large enough have political impact. A civil union. The movement may push for an increase in the number of seats in government with a decrease in politicians salaries...etc

4th Stage:
A political platform must be prepared and refined. One which clearly outlines its intentions and ensures 100% transparency between social management and civil authority. This political party does not operate as a "normal" political party. There is no party leader, only a council. The council is composed of an academic nucleus which interprets data for a general council who either vote for or against the academic results. This is marginally how decisions are reached as an academy, as a business, as a political belief, and as a society.

5th Stage:
Infinite improvement and maintenance of the society humans will continuously reshape.

When you consider the venus project as am ambition, it allows for further thought as to how we can reach it. I will be the first to admit that the odds are astronomically against anything working out this way. I am not crazy. What is crazy is to convince myself that things will work out, or that the entire human race will simultaneously evolve and cure itself. What I propose is a last ditch effort to organize our collective thoughts and devise the best plan we can to save ourselves. I have created a couple business models for such an organization which can be improved greatly by more gifted minds.

Call it sleeping with the enemy only if you wish to expose your nihilism, your obliviousness or your willingness to leave humanity behind... not that either is without just cause. If you have a better idea then please post it.

I have contacted the venus project and advised them that I will submit a blueprint for a movement. This is to make sure that TZM/TVP values are synchronous with our own.
