@lylen:

No, I don't claim Christ is divine, but it is generally accepted in historical scholarship that Jesus was a real person who actually lived in Palestine at that time. To what extent do scriptures portray what really happened regarding that person is a subject of legitimate debate.

Acharya S. believes Christianity as a religion developed totally differently than the historical record shows that it did. Setting aside the actual person of Christ, the development of the religion of Christianity in the first century A.D. is well-documented.

@Matt I can tolerate a lot but holocaust deniers I cannot tolerate. Interesting enough I am looking into Psychopaths since Matt brought it up. I'll look into it for interest and a medical sake.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess when I read the the conclusion you seemed to be stating that a person with no education can't dispute the divinity of Christ, so I thought a) you believe Christ divine and b) you can't challenge theologians on the point. I think what you mean is the matter of degree of understanding. I would add I think the matter of degree expands based on the type of field and the academic training required. The more naturalistic the field the more an academic environment is required. Some person could in theory with time on their hands and determination become self educated in the Humanities and thanks to the internet have some kind of peer group to challenge their assertions.

The main reason I don't like Acharya S is because it is incredibly easy to point out flaws in Christianity without needing to rely on complete fabrications to do so.

People like Acharya S because they have a paranoid worldview, and she caters to that.
