Thanks to Matt for posting this link on the FB page:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aOjD2Q-IeY

I don't even want to sit through the interview because I've had about all the bullshit from P.J. Merola that I can take, but does anybody know how and why he suddenly came to be called "Doctor" Peter Joseph? Given all his whining in that "who is Peter Joseph" video about "credentialism," I seriously doubt he would stoop to actually getting academically trained in anything, and I can't imagine with his extreme conspiracy beliefs that he could matriculate through a legitimate Ph.D. program without attracting considerable negative attention.

Calling yourself "doctor" without a real doctorate is fraud, potentially actionable in some states. Anyone know the story behind this sudden addition to Merola's curriculum vitae?

I think what happened is that the guys who were interviewing him were idiots and thought he was a PhD. They also gave the wrong year for when the movie came out, shouldn't they have had notes prepared? It's telling though that he let them call him Doctor without correcting them.

There is also an old interview where Larry King says that Jacque Fresco has a PhD, and Fresco doesn't correct him: http://anticultist.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/dr-jacque-fresco-phd-in-human-factors-engineering/

That is sick. I have a degree called Juris Doctor (a law degree). I have never called myself "Doctor" because it's not equivalent to a real doctorate and lawyers generally don't call themselves "doctor" even though I suppose they can. That's dishonest if someone calls you a title that you haven't earned and you don't correct them.

These people suck.

Giving credit where credit is due: Sky posted that. ;)

I don't really have any issue with some dildo radio host calling Merola a doctor, but I do take issue with the fact that Merola made no effort to correct it. I certainly would not let someone call me a doctor on a radio show without correcting them.

Perhaps he rationalized it with some existential navel gazing or perhaps he's just so used to lying that it is effortless at this point. Whatever the reason, as usual Merola defended the original premise of his first movie and made no mention of the many proven errors in it.

I wonder when the Zeitgeisters will wakeup and realize that every single thing they do is futile while Merola is at the wheel. Whether they get mentioned on that tabloid rag HuffPo or not.

I'm a Doctor in Resource-Based Economics, a fellow at TZM University, which is the best forum on the Internet, btw.

This stuff is not only sickening, but its also incredibly hypocritical of them not to correct it, allowing people to utilise 'credentialism' in their benefit is pretty low even for these two.

The members of their forum have already attempted to rush to his aid on the blog [which I of course denied, because I can not stand those cult freaks] by claiming things like this:

Yeah wow, great find!

I mean, why deal with the issues that movement puts forward, when you can search desperately for ad-hominim attacks? Great work!

Sarcasm aside, it is extremely likely, and obvious to anyone without a bias against TZM, that Peter had no control over the title. I’m sure if you mailed the author, they’d fix it. Of course, that would be something constructive, not like this site.

You are really showing your desperation here. I hope you can get over your issues, and maybe take a wider view of the world and start to help solve problems, instead of adding to them.

(i strongly doubt you’ll allow this comment, as the viewpoint conflicts with the purpose of this site… make me wonder, why make a website, if you are only going to allow comments that agree with you?)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He already knows I wont allow his posts, hes one of those demented followers who persistantly bother us, and I have told him numerous times he might as well not bother.

It sounds like he didn't listen to the video and thinks that the only problem is that the video description on youtube says Doctor, I don't think he realises that the intervewiers actually called him Doctor right there.

Wow again going on obscure conspiracy theorist radio shows with someone that promoted so many false claims about 9/11 that many truthers call him disinfo and a hoax promotor. lol.

yeah sky, Ironic isnt it ?

He's [Joseph Matthew] a self acclaimed expert asking me to research into TZM and TVP not knowing I have been in the movement longer than he has I even remember when he joined, but he has not even got the sense to watch the clip posted to check it out.

And funnily enough its his guru talking about his movement in it and he appears to have still not bothered to watch it before he opened his silly mouth.

And here we have evidence of Peter Joseph Merolas self admitted lack of credentials, he states he dropped out of college in his second year due to debt issues he was unhappy about.

So its pretty obvious he holds no PhD from his own admittance.

Seriously - two years in, wouldn't you think "fuck, I'll just have to budget really well and deal with it.

Dropping out like that is like being near the end of the course and just stopping because you think reaching the peak will be "too hard".

Exactly Brenton I cant fathom why he made that decision, it seems to me like he decided that he wanted to make money on the stock exchange and do gigs, rather than sacrifice for some credentials.

Truther Movement did this stuff a lot, people with PhDs in philosophy are "doctors" too.

As far as why Merola dropped out, probably because he's a hipster pothead and found a way to pay for his luxury digs without really having to get a job. He comes from a privileged background, rich people do stuff like this because they have the safety net to. Plus he has that "I'm an artist so I am important and deserve free shit" mentality going.

He certainly wasn't going to get rich and famous playing that stupid xylophone thing. I don't even understand why he has any credibility at all when he speaks. Didn't he go to a music college or something?

Yeah, he said which school it was in one of his radio shows- can't remember which one though. Considered "revolutionary" in it's teaching methods, apparently.
