This is the saddest part of what he said:

I am not naive to the reality that I, having been spreading this information for a long time, should know better than to feed the very forces that go to no end to smear us - often without considerations as to what we're actually all about and certainly without understanding our pivotal train of thought.

It sounds like someone convinced him that the people on this site are the enemy and don't understand what his movement is about. (even though several people here are former members.) This is messed up.

Just weird. I dunno how someone can make such an intellectual flipflop.

I guess just be thankful the movement is fairly inept and only exists online.

So anybody been keeping up with this thread over there, Brentons lost his mod status, they've all made up and kissed, Tanktops still having a pissy fit about what he said, and the mods are all angry that he slept with the 'enemy'.

Funny stuff.

So Brenton has gone back there, does anyone else find that depressing or is it just me ?

I actually thought he was making some headway in really analysing his take on the movement, perhaps I am being biased here but I thought he made positive steps to being more open to alternative perspectives and treating them with more respect.

I hope to see him continue that philosophy on their forum if he sticks in there, because I personally think that movement needs more people to really be hyper critical of it and get it sorted out.

Not that I will ever return or be a part of it, but for their benefit not mine.

Thread resurrection!

I brought this up before in another thread, but due to possible derailing of said thread, I thought i'd just post it here

In response to Brenton's response to my comment
http://conspiracyscience.com/forums/topic/topic-consp-sciencecom-a-case-study-in-intellectual-inhibition-s/page/6#post-6799</p>

Your comments basically stated that the entire website (and by extension, its forum participants, and by yet another extension, myself) is 'the enemy'. Now, seeing as how a few forum members on this site are far more aggressive about overt bullshit then I ever will be, I'm surprised I'm the first one to mention this since Brenton has returned.

That is, unless the following has occurred:

1. I missed the forum post on this site of Brenton explaining the situation
2. Everyone forgot about it until now :-P
3. Nobody really gives a shit anymore

So wzup? Did I read into your actions wrong? Did you think conspiracyscience.com and its participants were the enemy?

You haven't seen a forum post about it because it was discussed in private with the appropriate members, you of course are not one of them. (Sorry, but you're not. I have no idea who you are).

In short: I was playing their strings 'til they snapped, in the hope it'd get them to 'look in the mirror'. I'm not done pulling on the strings yet. I really don't need to bother, cos they'll cut them clean in half with a pair of scissors. But it's fun, and worthwhile for pulling out the few true progressives they have.

Yes Brenton, they will destroy themselves.

If they can't see why then I say let them. I honestly cared about trying to get them to see sense at one time, like all the time I spent arguing against ZG1, but whats the point? The Venus Project's website still has ZG1 on their recommended reading list and still says people should show ZG1 even after we had that argument with VTV about it. Apparently they just don't care. Even if the Zeitgeist Movement wasn't full of shit, it soon appeared that the Venus Project will also full of shit. Different coloured shit maybe, but it still stinks.

To be fair, I will say that I am going to 'put all the pieces' together on my website when I have the time. It's not something I'm deliberately going to take time out to do, at this stage. I'll do it when the time feels most right.

I've got other boat-rocking to do for now.

(We all do).
