I keep seeing this on magazine covers...where someone points to their right eye with their index finger. CTs try to play it off like it's part of a conspiracy...but what's the real reason for such a strange pose?

I thought as much. It's just that for some reason it's usually the right side...maybe it's just 'cause they're right-handed. But in the mind of a CTist, it's like, "look...they're displaying their secret symbols everywhere!"

According to sites like Vigilant Citizen it has to do with the "Eye of Horus" or "Eye of Ra" from Egyptian mythology. Apparently Egyptian symbols are somehow evil and the Eye is supposedly the symbol of the Illuminati, that is the Eye in the pyramid or triangle is an Illuminati/Freemason symbol and it's satanic.

I've been watching Lady Gaga interviews today. There was one where she did that weird eye-covering thing randomly in an interview with no explanation. I think she was probably just high or something by the way she looked.

Maybe...that still doesn't explain all the weird stuff, though.

There's also the left eye-in-the pyramid symbol that Jay-z popularized.

Here's Charice making the symbol very noticeably:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TomAhTbUso&NR=1&feature=fvwp

BTW, her single is called "Pyramid".

And look at these shirts from Jay-z's roc-a-wear clothing line:

http://seeingpastnormal.com/Jay_Z__Occult_clothing.php</p>

References and symbols of freemasonry everywhere...very glaringly, too.

It isn't a symbol of freemasonry!

That really bugs me when people talk about Masonic symbols when the eye of horus isn't even a masonic symbol and neither is putting your hand over one eye.

Plus Freemasonry is not a cult and nothing they do is even occultice in nature. They are a Fertarnal Organzion that does things like Charities. Even if Jay-z is a Freemason I whold care less. A least he would a part of a group that does some good; instead of a bunch of lazy, selfish CTers.
P.S. The Eye and Pyrimid found on the one dollar bill is not or has ever been a Freemason symbol. I have been thinking of become a Freemason myself.

But in his clothing line, he uses BOTH the eye of horus and the eye and the triangle...which links them together, in a way.

I don't know if there's some kind of conspiracy or not...but I wonder why he's using all these symbols in his clothing line when he KNOWS that people are going to accuse him even more for it.

Every song that mentions gold or money must also be a part of a secret conspiracy to do something evil regarding gold or money.

Being able to point out eyes in music videos and pictures means nothing other than you can find connections that aren't there and you likely have some sort of mental problem.

Maybe because he doesn't care what some crazy fringe group of people think? Also the pyramid and the eye of horus make sense as it is found on the dollar bill, so maybe he is using it to represent money?

Maybe he's not a freemason, but I still find it strange that he uses so many occult symbols...

He literally says in one of his songs that he's a mason...but then in an interview he says that he's not a mason. He says that he's not putting those things into songs/videos on purpose to mess with peoples' heads

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFDVW2xhWco&feature=player_embedded

There are people that say he's not an illuminati himself, but they tell him to use the symbolism, etc. to push some sort of agenda.

For the last time, he does not use occult symbols!

Until you realise what the real occult is and not just what some fundie pastor wants you to think and start to actually look into things instead of thinking the eye and the pyramid are occult symbols which they never were, you will not get over your fear of occult symbolism.

Where does he say he is a freemason?

Ez, he says it in his song, "Run This Town."

You do have a point, though. Maybe I do need professional help...

The thing that's been bothering me is that it all seems to lead back to the occult in some way.

Even The Beatles were influenced by Crowley:

Aleister Crowley - The Muse of Rock and Roll

Written by the7thdimension on Feb-13-08 10:47pm
From: the7thdimension.blogspot.com
Aleister Crowley (Born Edward Alexander Crowley) was a famous British occultist and author. He was an influential member in several occult circles including the Golden Dawn, Arcanum Arcanorum, and Ordo Templi Orientis. Aleister Crowley is described as the master satanist of the 20th century and self proclaimed himself "the beast 666".

Crowley's philosophies caught the interest of the younger generation. Many artists, philosophers, musicians and members of "counter culture" adopted his teachings and sought about applying the Golden Rule, Do What Thou Wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law. You just may recognize some of his devout followers.

In 1971, Guitarist Jimmy Paige of Led Zeppelin purchased Aleister Crowley's house on the shore of Loch Ness where Crowley actually practiced his sex-magick rituals, including human sacrifice. The song "Stairway to Heaven" bears reference to Crowley's poem "May Queen", a grotesque poem written by "the beast". Inscribed in the Led Zeppelin III vinyl album is Crowley's famous "Do what thou wilt. So mete it be."

The cover of the Sergeant Pepper's Album by the Beatles features Aleister Crowley amidst, according to the group, "people we like and admire" (Hit Parade, Oct. 1976, p.14). The Beatles took Crowley's teachings rather seriously. John Lennon, in an interview with Playboy magazine, states the "whole idea of the Beatles" was Crowley's essential "Do what thou wilt". "The whole Beatle idea was to do what you want, right? To take your own responsibility, do what you want and try not to harm other people, right? DO WHAT THOU WILT, as long as it doesn't hurt somebody. . ." ("The Playboy Interviews with John Lennon and Yoko Ono", by David Sheff and G. Barry Golson, p. 61)

Ozzy Osbourne called Crowley "a phenomenon of his time" (Circus, Aug. 26, 1980, p. 26). Black Sabbath had a song entitled "Mr. Crowley". "You fooled all the people with magick - You waited on Satan's call - Mr. Crowley, wont you ride my white horse...."

On the reverse side of The Doors 13 album, the Doors are shown posing around a statue of Crowley.

David Bowie referred to Crowley in the song "Quicksand" in his album The Man Who Sold The World.

Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson said "We've referred to things like the tarot and ideas of people like Aleister Crowley” (Circus, Aug. 31, 1984).

Daryll Hall of the rock duo Hall and Oates admits that he is a follower of Crowley.“I became fascinated with Aleister Crowley, the nineteenth-century British magician who shared those beliefs. I was fascinated by him because his personality was the late-nineteenth-century equivalent of mine—a person brought up in a conventionally religious family who did everything he could to outrage the people around him as well as himself” (Rock Lives: Profiles and Interviews, p. 584). Hall also owns a signed and numbered copy of Crowley's The Book of Thoth.

Sting has admittedly studied Crowley's writings.

LSD Guru Timothy Leary said "I’ve been an admirer of Aleister Crowley. I think that I’m carrying on much of the work that he started over a hundred years ago. He was in favor of finding yourself, and "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" under love. It was a very powerful statement. I’m sorry he isn’t around now to appreciate the glories he started" (Late Night America, Public Broadcasting Network, cited by Hells Bells, Reel to Real Ministries).

Graham Bond thought he was Crowley's illegitimate son and recorded albums of satanic rituals with his band Holy Magick.

The International Times voted Crowley "the unsung hero of the hippies". One man who helped popularize Aleister's work was Kenneth Anger. Anger was an avant-garde film artists that claimed his films were inspired by Crowley's philosophy and described them as "moving spells" or "visual incantations".

When you copy info from other sites, please post a link. Also I doubt that stuff is very accurate, I found one mistake already, the song "Mr. Crowley" isn't by Black Sabbath, it is by Ozzy solo.

You will find that most satanists don't actually believe in or worship Satan (as in the figure from the bible), they more or less just consider themselves god of themselves and that they can do anything (drugs, alcohol, sex, rock n roll, earn lots of money) as opposed to the religious view that God has restricted certain things.

Personally I agree with this view as what you do with your own life is your choice, as long as you don't harm anyone else or society. If I want to live a lavish life of parties, drugs and private planes who has the right to tell me not to?

When Crowley said he was the "beast 666" he was most likely making a point (read above), and not actually being literal and admitting that he worshiped the devil.

About Jayz and the song 'Run this town', I think you need to stop looking so much at the lyrics of music. Songwriting is a type of poetry and symbolism, metaphors and so on are used, some words just sound cool together.

Jay-Z's Run This Town is about bein' a straight up balle', what what. "Empire State of Mine," however, is clearly about an international conspiracy that everyone involved in pop culture seems to know about, but it's so secret no one else does.

What's funny about CTs that believe stupid shit, is they frequently copy/paste it from other people who believe equally (or greater) stupid shit. Often you can see many different people claiming to be the author of crazy stuff.

You're right...I've been flipping out too easily. I guess I really need therapy somehow. I can't seem to get over this fear of conspiracies.

I should have checked that article out before I posted it. I think some of the info in it is valid, though.

I wonder why Jay-z is using the exact images the CTs get paranoid over...and yet he claims he isn't doing it to mess with people. He uses the eye in the triangle, he uses the eye of horus on one of his hats he uses giant ram skulls in some of his videos, etc , he uses Aleister Crowley's famous quote, he uses masonic steps, the masonic handshake, Ouroboros, an eye with rays of light, the masonic term "masters of the craft". Is he, along with other celebs, in some sort of cult or something? They use the same symbolism.

Another thing that freaked me out is that a company that designs web pages for celebrities (including Jay-Z) is called mindctrl.com/

Rhianna is covering up one of her eyes. One layout has three girls...one of them pointing very clearly to her eye (although, it's her left eye in the pic) and another of the girls in the picture with a lightening bolt for an earring.

Cece Segarra is doing that weird hand-above-eyes thing that makes it sort of look like her eye is framed by a triangle.

Someone named Yoni looks like he's partially framing his eye with his fingers in half a triangle.

Most of these, I know I'm reading too much into and they're probably just artistic poses, but the one of HerStory bothers me because she's blatantly pointing to her eye. What kind of pose is that

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112998783

I guess there might be other explanations for Jay-Z's symbolism, however.

Edit:

Ez, you mentioned, Empire State of Mind. There's a video where Alicia Keys is performing a medley that includes that song. During the performance, There is a screen in the background that keeps showing what looks like an abstract picture of a person with a Ram's head. I don't think it means anything...it could be a girl with pigtails or something lol...but I guess it's just abstract. Still, it's strange that they kept using that one image over and over. The CTs are saying it's the same picture that was in Jay-z's myspace background, but I don't think so.
