"The plan was to stage the nation's first live exercise that simulates a nuclear bomb being detonated by terrorists in an American city, with 10,000 emergency responders, U.S. troops and officials playing out their roles in the heart of Las Vegas."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/01/AR2010040103746.html

"On April 13, 2010, Public Intelligence received a message from Danny Rains who is an investigator for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the Office of Security requesting the removal of a document entitled “National Level Exercise 2010 (NLE 10) Exercise Overview”. The ten page document, which is described in FEMA’s request as “very sensitive”, consists of approximately 20 PowerPoint slides including the title page and was published nearly seven months ago on August 8, 2009.

The question is why would FEMA specifically want this document removed? We have published a large number of documents from FEMA and DHS at the “For Official Use Only” level and have never before received a notice from them."

So how do you look at it? Conspiracy theroists claim that this is simply a way of staging an attack á la Operation Northwood, and that this "saftey exercise" is a way of bullshitting the population about an un-existing threat.

My bullshit meter went off pretty early, but I'd like to hear what you guys think about it.

Not sure if this helps, but here is the training manual for NLE 10. Its 139 pages.

If we take the CT logic, UFOs are aliens and there is a coming alien invasion:

http://gizmodo.com/5081227/fema-firefighters-manual-covers-ufo-attacks-crashes

There is a FEMA firefighter manual that does cover contact with extraterrestrials, of course this is because *if* it did happen, people could needlessly die for a multitude of reasons and it's good to be prepared for anything. Preparing is something many CTs love to do, but when it comes to the government preparing, that's impossible. The government does not prepare for any potential problems, it only prepares to create problems, lovely logic, isn't it? And they bitch and moan about people assuming that because they're conspiracy theorists, they're also potentially domestic terrorists. Isn't this the exact same kind of grouping they apply to the government?

I wonder the same thing when CT's ask people top "open their eyes", when their only source of information seems to be Alex Jones. It's quite pathetic to see how little critical thinking is used sometimes.

I love how CT's tell people to question the official story, but once some one questions the alternate theory the CT's get insulted

Apparently when it comes to CT's, governments can hire more competent and disciplined people than private businesses, even though CT'ers in general tend to believe in the superiority of the latter. Given real human behavior, you'd think we'd see more CT screw ups like that Apple computer engineer's, who accidentally left a prototype of the next iPhone in a bar.

Alright man, we'll see. Please stop telling people about growing stronger and such, it's really a turn off here, and nobody believes it anyway, it just makes you look delusional. The reason is because many of us are at least twice your age and have heard it all before, if you want to "get through to us" I think you should stick to your main points. You're much more pleasant and fun to talk with when you do. But do what you like man, it's just a suggestion.

Start with what? We've got other threads we're already talking in without difficulty, unless this is about the original post, we should move our conversation and topics to other threads. I don't want to hijack northground's thread.
