By what I'm about to write, I'm not implying that there shouldn't be a data/news service at all (I rather like the idea, actually), but if I had to personally choose in a hypothetical scenario between the "efficient" and accurate but non-interactive global data service and the messy, sometimes inaccurate but interactive global forum that allows for mutual relationships, interaction, and connection with other people (as well as the sharing of massive amounts of data), I would pick the forum. And where else does the movement exist as an un-fractured whole, besides at the International Meetings, than in the global forum itself?

Since the beginning of crafting my role as a Social Therapist, I've felt this role is meant to be on the International/global level, that what I find out is meant for the entire movement. Without the global forum, I'm not really sure how I'll be able to communicate these ideas to the global community, and as someone with an unrecognized and unofficial international role in the movement, I've been for the most part on the outside; there's been a price to pay for not fitting into the structure here, and it's been mentioned that the Chapter forums are ghost towns, that all there is going on there is silence---well, that's what it's been like for me for the past 3 years in the movement. Due to not fitting in and possessing a self-created role that isn't recognized by or in the structure of the movement, the only communication, mutual interaction, and information I usually get IS from the forum (with some occasional TeamSpeak meetings thrown in).

So when it comes down to it, I would rather have interaction, connection, and mutuality (as well as a place for me to be a Social Therapist) in a global forum than data accuracy from a data/news service.
