![]() Level: 6 CS Original | That's the fire test of every marketer - realizing that the most effective way of selling stuff is to bullshit people. "Hey, let's all support the Iraq war, we need oil" vs. "Hey, let's all support the Iraq war, they hate our freedom". Or: I'm a little confused about PJs passive aggressiveness lately, he seemed like a likeable guy, although we have our differences. I hope that movement isn't going to turn completely into a cultish end-of-world-fanclub, I had some hope for the engineers in there.

![]() HAIL HYDRA Level: 6 CS Original | "I have no problems with attacking the self preserving nature of any institution " Yeah! LIke groups that make you take a test to prove that you are the right kind of person to join a forum! Or one that seeks to weed out people who don't agree with their ideology! All for attacking THOSE institutions.

![]() Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | For some reason I can't view this topic. Been having that problem a lot lately, whenever anyone posts a ZM forum link I click it on and it just defaults to their forum home page. Anyone else have that problem?

![]() Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | I have never posted there, never tried to post there nor ever registered as a member. According to CT's I'm an arrogant bastard, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that they fear me posting on their forum enough to trace my IP through some other source and prospectively ban me! OMG, it's a conspiracy!

![]() Level: 10 CS Original | That happens to me sometimes Muertos, try clicking it again. Usually the first time it defaults to the forums main page, click it again and it goes to the post. Stupid bloody slow ass forum, and I used to think the JREF was bad. If you want to find it manually, go to the MISCELLANEOUS forum and then find the thread title. As of right now its the third down.

![]() Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | Ed, it may be my browser, I use Opera and for some reason Opera doesn't like ZM forum posts. Maybe the programmers of Opera had a falling out with Peter Merola? Anyway, it works on Firefox. Interesting topic, as it continues to illustrate the problem that Merola's conspiracy theorizing (on religion as well as 9/11) has created for the Venus Project. They will never resolve that tension, so this subject will keep coming up over and over again in one form or another.

![]() Level: 10 CS Original | Ive said it before and Ill say it again, the marriage between Zeitgeist and The Venus Project draws different crowds. Zeitgeisters want to promote conspiracies, while people attracted to the Venus Project tend to because they think its got nothing to do with it... which it doesn't. Also there will always be people like the OP poster in that thread who may well believe all the stuff in ZG1 but realises its detrimental. But as we know Peter Joseph believes that so long as it draws an audience its good, therefore thats why he promotes ZG1. He really doesn't care if its correct or not, he proved that in his ban message to me :)

![]() Level: 1 CS Original | Hey Ed. This is Virtue_Reality from TZM forums. I see that they got rid of you over there. It's messed up how Peter went off-topic in that thread you got banned in about your motives rather than the issue at hand about the errors in TZG film. I agree with the type of crowds both movements attract. It's like both TZM and TVP are viruses affecting each other. One affects the other with conspiracy theories, and the other affects the former with fantasy lacking practical blueprints. And together they are a 2 headed monster detrimental to themselves and everybody. Never the less, it looks like people from within are beginning to see the major drawbacks of these movements.

![]() Level: 10 CS Original | Hi Virtue Reality, nice to see you here though I would be careful what you say. It seems they don't particularly like their members conversing with the "other side", as it were, unless they are attacking us, so to agree with us would threaten your membership. And yes I agree with everything you said. :) I feel now just as have I suspected from the beginning, that this would happen, and it would only get worse. Eventually I think only the truly fanatical ones will remain. As for what Peter said when he banned me, I really think he did me a favour. It was not only a final nail in the coffin for me but now is direct evidence for what Peter REALLY thinks about all this.

![]() Level: 6 CS Original | Hell, if they banned me, it wouldn't be that hard for me anymore to judge the movement fairly. If it wasn't for the lack of alternatives (non-market based economy theories), I'd also be gone, but hey, I'll take what I can get, even if I have to endure "scientific method for social concern" and similar empty phrasing.
