I was googling around you guys and I found tons of pictures of guys stroking their dongs! But get this, in Japan the penis is considered a magical symbol. So how are we not to know, that because of all these pictures, that a phallic Japanese cabal are working to dominate the world? It's all too coincidental.

He's been asked before and we never got an answer: to what purpose is the symbolism other than just because? Why are they doing it? Is their plan just to annoy people like Questionmark on the internet?

Even if there was some sort of symbolism to be found here, the simplest (and thus most rational) deduction would be that there's some sort of re- or exclusive club of which these guys are members.

You couldn't say anything about the power or motives of it; I know a few guys who are "murkies" and regularly use symbols and gestures in daily life, yet they don't yield any form of power and (as far as I know) don't wish to rule the world or anything of that nature. Ironically, their lack of "real" power might be part of what motivates them to use secret gestures in the first place, but that's just an assumption on my part.

In short, going from "There's a secret symbol" to "It's from a secret club that schemes to rule the world" is a complete non sequitur.

There probably isn't and the guy just likes this pose, but hey.

Ez, I'm not sure if just ignoring it is the best way to make it go away. He needs to know why it's bullshit, otherwise he's just going to come crawling back making a thread every time he hears anything even slightly conspiracy related like he has been doing.

Well, that's kind of what I was referring to. He'll still probably try to tie any news item into some conspiracy theory even if he isn't specifically viewing conspiracy theory websites. Better to learn why said theories are bullshit and how to analyze these things for yourself instead of just ignoring them. I don't know, that's what worked me.

I'm all for debunking conspiracy theories, but when it comes to dealing with certifiably insane people I don't really like it much.
