I'd like to know what his goals as president are. If he was the most sophisticated person in the realms of diplomacy, budgeting, fiscal policy, military strategy, constitutional law and economics that ever lived, let him believe some stupid things.

But there's no reason to think that he is. His site looks like something a 15 year old Tony Robbins fan hacked together in one afternoon, with graphics* made by an underpaid Indian outsourcee.

What are his actual economic policies beyond "look, debt is, like, bad"? Which executive orders would he issue? Does he understand the constitutional and political/pragmatic boundaries of his office?

omg that chart just made my brain ache.

CJ> I don't know, it's not like we're talking about a few harmless quirks here. If his oddity was belief that former presidents still inhabit the White House in ghostly form or if he put beer on his morning fruit loops, I could deal with that. A conspiracy theorist as president is not going to work.

Muertos> Good blog post, as usual. I hope he enjoys his free advertising.

I don't know, it's not like we're talking about a few harmless quirks here. If his oddity was belief that former presidents still inhabit the White House in ghostly form or if he put beer on his morning fruit loops, I could deal with that. A conspiracy theorist as president is not going to work.

I don't think I consider CTs to be nuttier than deep religious beliefs, but I could live with some lunacy if the person shows indisputable proof of outstanding capabilities in their respective fields.

There are a few deeper problems that come with it, such as whether the person understands how their beliefs may affect their public image and if they actively try to avoid discussing them, or whether the "flaw" is just a symptom of a deeper issue, in Keller's case a basic misunderstanding of what constitutes evidence, ignorance of epistemology, and so on, which will in the long run lead to more lunacy and eventually outweigh the benefits.

This is obviously somewhat detached from the original topic; I don't think Keller has standard, let alone outstanding, skills in anything related to a political career.

"cooperation" and "help each other" are different ovals? This is what happens when intellectual midgets get behind a keyboard.

The Coast Guard is also part of the military. I don't see why he put "Military" and "Coast Guard" are separate ovals either.

The only distinction between the Coast Guard and the other military services is that the Coast Guard is (normally) under the administration by the Department of Homeland Security, whereas the others are administered by the Department of Defense.

It doesn't even make sense to put the Coast Guard with the National Guard, because the National Guard is administered jointly by the Departments of the Army and Navy (which are both departments within the DoD).

ADMINISTRATION KNOWLEDGE FAIL.

Found two versions of Keller's graph.

http://www.scottkellerforpresident.com/image_map5.jpg

http://www.scottkellerforpresident.com/image_map6.jpg

I like how Keller kicks out the Resource based economy graph from image map 6 when he makes his final graph in image map 7. This makes me think Keller doesn't fully support a RBE.
