He has been posting comments on Ed V's recent blog accusing me of being a "troll" for the ten zillionth time. I think his arguments directed at Ed V. are extremely well-taken, and uniquely powerful coming as they do from a former Zeitgeist member.

Muertos’ major objection? That TZM is founded on the backs of conspiracy theory. Hence the movement attracts more than its fair share of cranks, anit-vaxxers, denialists (HIV and Climate Change), new agers, etc. He also thinks that the RBE is a shit idea too, but I can accept that, because the system can be made falsifiable i.e. testable. It will either succeed or fail and the question will be settled. Muertos is not so rigid as to deny evidence if it happens to support that an RBE is a viable system. And I am not so rigid to deny evidence that it does not work.

This is right on the money. Ed V. has long suspected that there's some deep dark reason why I oppose Zeitgeist. There isn't. This is it.

I do think RBE is a terrible idea and I've stated why. If there's evidence otherwise, surely I and others would be swayed. I'm not rejecting Zeitgeist ideas for the sake of rejecting them, just because I'm a "troll," as Ed V. seems to suggest.
