Reasons vary. For some it's simply a personal matter and a grudge, they were part of TZM but were banned due to bad behavior and what happens next is that they direct all their anger towards Zeitgeist any way they can.
Others have a belief in an economic model or money itself which is opposite to what TZM proposes. It has been my observation that a number of advocates from the school of Austrian economics have a bone to pick with TZM simply by default. Than there are some who are basically highly patriotic and can't stand the notion that their country/society/culture will merge with a global one. Than there are the religious folks who were offended by Zeitgeist: The Movie. Last but not least, there are some folks who simply enjoy trolling TZM for no apparent reason.

This poster (who I believe is Ed V.) probably puts me in the latter category, as he has been utterly clueless for over a year as to why I oppose Zeitgeist, despite the fact that I've explained it quite plainly numerous times. So I guess my opposition is "for no apparent reason."

Of course, it could NEVER be because people think the Zeitgeist Movement promotes conspiracy theories, a twisted ideology and promotes violence and terrorism. No, that would be too logical.

It's been a widely held belief for a long time in TZM that this site exists because my father was kicked out of TZM. What they don't realize is that the site existed years time before TZM did, and was created as a response to the first movie. This of course means Edward is a secret Christian, except he's an atheist. Further the claim that he just doesn't agree with the economic model is also false, as he clearly states in the introduction to the Zeitgeist II article that not only does he agree, but:

It is hard enough to discuss technocracy and The Venus Project with people, we do not need to also talk about conspiracies. Whether you like it or not, conspiracy theories scare people away, period, and they won't listen to anything you have to say.

If Edward is a secret Christian, capitalist, that's anti-RBE, why would he go out of his way to defend it right on the first page? This just goes to show the mindset of many Zeitards, it's that if you disagree at all, you oppose everything completely. Just as Muertos has pointed out in the past, if you don't like TZM, it must be because you think everything is perfectly fine.

I find it eye-roll-inducing that they don't see a problem promoting conspiracy theories and honestly think it has nothing to do with them being so unpopular, not to mention they're already promoting economic ideas that are also grossly unpopular.

They treat themselves with the same infallibility that people like Alex Jones do, they're never wrong, and if someone thinks they're wrong, they're stupid, insane, or paid to think so. They also shut down opposing opinion, and let things like the terrorism thread keep going, and get angry when it's shut down. The double think and hypocrisy within the movement itself is why most people left in the first place. It's nothing except a place to masturbate to futurism and then simply "spread the word" for years and years. Basically it's a movement of empty promises and broken dreams.

When you come up with ideas that challenge the status quo, you inevitably make enemies with someone. The anticultist blog and conspiracy "science" are both very bad jokes made by complete trolls. I encourage you to see for yourself and not take my word for it, but I'm certain you will find that they are troll bins and their members are not there to question anything or find out the truth on any matter. Many of our members try to take on serious questions and criticisms but a lot of people are too caught up in their preconceived notions and fears of change.

There was a post along these lines a long time ago, made by thunder, tanktop, or someone, which claimed that CS would just ban you for posting, wouldn't argue with you, etc. Well, VTV basically proved that wrong, inadvertently, and he's still a member of this site too.

Sumpeeps makes it pretty clear in the quote above that he knows dick about CS. Considering Edward is an anarchist turned technocrat, how could he be afraid of change? TZM's inability to respond to real criticisms by people in the outside world makes them resort to just name calling and falling back on "you don't understand it" or "you must love the way things are now." Self-appointed experts on economics and technology tend not to be great at arguing with others, and TZM proves that hands down.

To any TZM member out there, if you want to ask us questions, as long as you're polite, you'll get a polite response, and we'll be open and honest with you. Or you can just blindly trust people in your movement when they say everyone who isn't them is against "truth" and is just "trolling."
