I've been a strong supporter of TZM for a while now. I've watched all Peter Joseph's lectures; I listen to all the radio shows; I am always reading TZM recommended books. I'm constantly feeding my brain with information. I've noticed I've completely alienated myself from the people around me. I feel that TZM is destroying my social life, particularly with my family. I know there are many factors involved with my declining social life, but I think TZM is one of the main reasons. My parents think I'm crazy and that my ideas are "cultish." Everybody around me thinks I'm arrogant and condescending. I try to share my ideas but discussions turn hostile so quickly. My parents either don't believe much of the information I get from my sources, or they ignore the significance of the information. They think my ideas are just my opinions. To certain degree, yes. But there's so much factual information they just classify as "my opinion." That's why they think I'm so arrogant. What they consider to be my opinion, I consider to be fact. It was so frustrating that I just gave them reading material, because they obviously wouldn't take anything from me. But even then, they just go back to their comfortable ways of thinking. Peter Joseph once said that once you hear the ideas of TZM, you can't just "put them back in the box." But that's exactly what my parents do. I don't know how they do it.

Jacque Fresco says in some of his videos some people are just a waste of time. He advises just to "skip them." My parents are exactly these kind of people and I don't know what to do about it. I've given up on trying to educate them in any way. Instead I'm trying to find some kind of equilibrium between us but things are pretty bad.

I want to clarify, I'm not blaming TZM for all of this. I know I've brought all this upon myself. I'm just posting to see if anybody else is experiencing the same thing, or has any advice for me.

My advice: find the common denominator and remove it. But I think he already knows what that is. Oddly enough he sounds just like someone with an addiction.

This would be me if I didn't realize TZM is a load of shit.

Good little cult members do exactly what their leader tells them too, even if it's on the down low. "SPREAD THE WORD OMFG" - Merola.

His interactions with people are messed up, in a good part due to TZM, because like a evangelizing idiot, he doesn't realize he's preaching to people who are getting really tired of his tired (and wrong) ideas and continues to do so.

He doesn't realize fully acknowledge that his ideology peddling is what's a contributing factor to his degrading social life.

Christ, that's FUBAR.

^This. He's deep in denial and I don't think there's much of anything to be done to pull him out.

Easy solution: Stop talking about TZM when people aren't interested in TZM.

I'm not talking about the flaws of market economies when I'm going out either.

I already see the matching thread: "The economic system spawned my date leaving the table and hooking up with some brainwashed dude who thinks money is real"
