Just got a mail from a zeitguy, regarding my "transition" to the dark side. Permission to repost here was granted:

"Whats up man I thought you understood what the venus project stands for and why mr. fresco has the experience we all need but maybe I was wrong and you dont get it becuase your posting on conspiracyscience and talking bad about the movement. we have to work together and ppl like you are pulling us down, either fight with us or big brother"

Got something similar before, what I find astounding is the "either us or them" mindset, as well as stating that my withdrawal must be connected somehow in "not getting it", instead of simply disagreeing.

I'll paste my answer, just to prevent more mails:
"Hi there, I left the movement to focus on more important stuff, like investing my money so I can actually change a thing or two instead of talking about it.

Good luck with Zeitgeist, I'll keep an eye on the movement.
For me, the lack of scientific backup for the claims (the collapse, automation of work, everything for free) and complete ignorance of other "movements" who wanted to reach a moneyless society (communism, anarchy) has brought me to a point where I prefer to work with technocrats, neocommunists and other progressive forces than to spend time on a movement that calls itself scientific and still promotes Zeitgeist 1 as something else than Da Vinci Code on Speed.
Cheers,
CJ"

Speaking for myself, I really don't care about the Venus Project. I think it's silly and will never work, and it would totally fuck up the world if it was instituted, but the Venus Project doesn't matter because it's just fantasy.

I dislike the Zeitgeist Movement because it's a conspiracy movement that spreads conspiracy theories and promotes conspiracy ideology. "Getting" the Venus Project, even if I agreed with it, would not change my viewpoint that the Zeitgeist Movement is negative and should be opposed. I HATE CONSPIRACY THEORIES. THAT'S WHY I DISLIKE THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT, BECAUSE IT IS A CONSPIRACY MOVEMENT SPREADING CONSPIRACY THEORIES.

Jeez, is that so hard for these nimrods to understand?

The members on IRC think the movement has nothing to do with conspiracies.

The movement has everything to do with conspiracies, as I have explained a number of times including in blogs on this site.

More accuractly...

The ZG Movement does have a lot to do with conspiracies, the Venus Project does not.

However the Venus Project is still intellectually dishonest promoting ZG1 even though Fresco has said he doesn't agree with 911 conspiracies.

Agreed. TVP is more like a communistic and technocratic knock-off lacking realistic blueprints and economics rather than being about conspiracies.
