> if they didnt spend all their money on videos and models they
> could of paid for a solar grid decades ago

Maybe, but as they don't like to talk about money in detail, its hard to tell. (Roxanne did say they was quoted $30k to have built a solar grid.)

But considering TZM members wasted $1 to $2 million just going to meetings in the last few years, $30k is perfectly affordable right now to raise.

> If Jacque cares about sustainability where is his living as

I imagine he is doing the best he can.

But, if he lets us help him, he can do far better I reckon.

Some resources maybe, but not all..

Somewhat agreed.

But it doesn't look great not to do it.

On the plus side, didn't they build their own home, thats a plus point right there!

"On the plus side, didn't they build their own home, thats a plus point right there!"

Yeah, with cash Fresco conned out of well intentioned suckers.

Fresco sounds like a damn good capitalist. He has everyone fooled into thinking he isn't one.

That's the most effective kind.

Excellent news!

(I wish it was offical TZM policy to set one up, or at least allow the forums and community groups to be used to help someone develop such a group..)

> 70 million supporters before you break ground. Priceless.

Perhaps we can look a little at that figure.

Why not 60 or 80 million I wonder ?

I would estimate that a community (Lets call it a town..) of 10,000 people could reasonably be expected to have in todays economic climate to have an expected surplus income of around half a billion a year. (Fair estimate?)

Being that the Masda City is going to cost an estimated:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masdar_City</p>

> the project is projected to cost US $22 billion
> and take some eight years to build

My thought that a community, or groups of communities totally 100,000 population with a combined surplus income of 5 billion a year, could see us equally build a city, fair estimate ?

You don't understand the difference between skepticism and conspiracy theory.

Which isn't surprising, since you didn't understand the difference between an insult and ad hominem fallacy until people here hammered it into your skull.

I think if we need 5 billion dollars, and everyone gave $1,000 to start the first city, we would need 5,000,000... which could be possible. I think.

> with cash Fresco conned out of well intentioned suckers.

Perhaps, again its hard to tell as they don't like to talk about these things!

Listening to someone talk about their experience, it sounds more like misunderstandings than connings, well, mostly..

It has some uncomfortable aspects about it, which sound almost reasonable, yet, not quite perfect.

But then, we are all human, and things are not always perfect.

Personally, if Fresco said he had conned people, said he was sorry, and would do something about it now, thats all that would matter to me.

Its the not talking about it and trying to hide it that I really don't like.

Just be honest, admit any mistakes, or if you don't think they was mistakes, so say, air that laundry and we can think more of you for it, we can try and learn from the situation so we don't repeat it. (Hard to learn when the details are hidden..)

Generally agreed.

My solution is more to help people earn that $1k, even go as far as to help them earn double that! (Then tax them 50%!)

That way, its a win win for everyone..

I hope you don't get banned on TZM for talking so sensibily :-)

There is nothing conspiritorial about what matt claims when Jacque has been shown to have taken other peoples money to build his own home and cut them out of the agreement, IE capitalism in its most vile form. There is nothing conspiritorial about matts claims when Jacque has tried to trademark RBE so noone else can use the term without paying Jacque and Roxanne or using it without their say so, IE capitalism in its most vile form.
