Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | I've been really depressed lately. The reason is simple. I've been single for well over 4 years and I'm starting to get lonely. I grew up in the countryside of North Louisiana. I attended a reasonably sized K-12 high school. I was kind, but withdrawn kid who really didn't cause any trouble. I did my work, made above average grades, and generally kept to myself. And for some reason I've never been able to fathom, I was hated by my peers. The guys took joy in seeing me upset or disappointed. The girls simply wouldn't talk to me. The one time I confessed a crush on a girl in my class, she simply avoided me for the remainder of our school year. Despite all of this, I've have had 2 girlfriends my entire life, both of which were distant and barely considered "real." I'm 26 now and have no greater luck now with women than I did back in high school. I have a good job (working in computers), I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't gamble, I've never been in any kind of trouble with the law (not even traffic tickets), I'm nearing graduation from a local college, I have a nice vehicle. My lifestyle seems respectable. I'm honest, understanding, communicate well, VERY generous, kind, compassionate, and with lots of love to give. Why am I alone? What am I missing? I don't know. I realized something recently though. Many of the girls in my generation have, for lack of a better term, misguided understanding of the mechanics of dating and peer bonding. I asked a teenage lady friend of mine recently, "at what point in a relationship would you apply the boyfriend label to a guy you're dating." She replied, "when he first asks me out." As expected as that was, I was still gassed by it. This is freaking wrong as hell! When did this start?! No wonder I can't get a date! Girls these days think one date is automatically comittment and comittment with an unfamiliar guy is logically scary. Ladies, take this from one very lonely and honest guy. Dating a guy does NOT make him your boyfriend! One date is NOT an agreement to comitt to a relationship. You have to date around some before you find comittment. That's how it works! Doesn't anyone understand that? It's like shopping for a new car, as unromantic as that sounds. Checking out one dealership doesn't obligate you to buy your car there. Traditionally, couples tend to date many times, sometimes dozens of times, before they officially agree to go steady or begin a true courtship (become boyfriend and girlfriend). I'm not sure why my generation is so misguided, but I have a theory. I've observed parents these days getting very protective, and sometimes downright restrictive upon their child, when faced with the concept of their child dating others. This causes parents to neglect to teach their children the mechanics of dating. This naturally leads to a misguided generation who can't find romance because we all too scared to bond. I've got another piece of advice for you ladies out there, especially you teens in high school. If a guy asks you out on a date and you're even remotely interested, just say "yes" and give the guy his respectable chance. Exercise good judgement so you don't put yourself in any danger, but give the guy the chance he deserves. If you're unsure about the guy, that's all the more reason to give him a chance. That's how to become sure! If he has some character flaw or unattractiveness about him, then it may come out in the course of this process and this will help him shape his character and give you a better idea of what you're looking for in a romantic partner. By just saying "no," the only thing you accomplish is disappointing the guy, nothing more. http://tanoro.com/viewblog?id=1

Level: 0 | Quote from Wolf BirdQuote from Wolf Bird If the forum wasn't the movement and if blogging isn't the movement, then there must not be a movement at all. TZM members haven't really done anything save for posting blogs or forum threads, or by advertising/spreading peter's movies.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | They view advertising Merola's movies as "doing something," because they believe that if enough people see them humanity will somehow have a consciousness shift and everyone will adopt their ideology. Its really no different than what evangelical Christians do.

hey sailor Level: 1 CS Original | Translation: I'm boring, fat, lazy and I won't put any effort into it but I expect women to fawn anyway. "I asked a teenage lady friend of mine recently," Translation: I'm only friends with teenagers, particularly lonely girls. I'm not sure why talking to a teenage girl makes him an expert, or how having 2 previous girlfriends makes him in any way qualified to give any relationship/girl advice. I don't get this attitude that these goofballs get that women actually owe them their time, when it's pretty clear he's repulsive and dull. Then again, I can't even imagine this guy actually asking anyone out. I'm a respectable guy, I tuck my wolf shirt into my sweatpants! P.S. DON'T SAY NO TO ME WHEN I ASK YOU OUT, YOU WHORES! edit: holy shit his blog, it's like a perfect storm of awkward loser
