I think I might just watch this crap for the fun of it. I'll probably end up looking up most of the scientific claims they make in the film, and end up posting my findings here.

I just don't get it. Why does the success of the Illuminati hinge on the state of America? As if somehow the North American Union will destroy America (as if America's not already going out steadily anyway) and the entire world will just fall apart without America. It's not really surprising when Americans think this about their own country, but when people else-where in the world believe it, it's just weird. America wasn't a superpower 60 years ago, a fact I think many Americans would disagree with, but it's true. This means that the world kept turning just fine for 4.54 billion years without America, and after America is long gone, it will continue to turn and everything will be fine.

I mean let's think about it. What does America's existence prevent? Nothing at all, genocides still happen, famines still happen, etc. If anything, you'd think these Thrive people would blame America for this stuff (as many left liberals in America seem to want to) instead of wanting America to return to a time prior to it being a superpower. None of it makes any logical sense.

The fact checking thing is hilarious:

Manhattan Project Fact: This kind of compartmentalization explains how the Manhattan Project, which developed the Atom bomb in World War II, was kept secret despite having 130,000 people working on it.

Let's forget that Soviet spies easily infultrated the program and it wasn't actually that secret. Let's just pretend it was super secret. This is a time when most people didn't have telephones, let alone internet access and the ability to instantly inform millions of others about things.

But I think it's interesting if we take even half of that, 65,000 people, and assume that many were involved in 9/11, that's still relying on a single link of 1 person to say anything to anyone and have it get out. 10 years on, no one has said anything, but you can find tons of people that will tell you all about the Manhattan Project, and gladly so.

I've still never gotten a solid number on how many people were involved in the massive 9/11 conspiracy.

Surveillance Cameras Fact: In 2010 there were 30 million surveillance cameras recording in the United States alone.

Oh fuck! Oh wait, how many of those are government cameras vs privately owned cameras? Global Fertility Fact: Right now, global human fertility is plunging.

The sources they provide aren't talking about the ability to have children falling, rather that the women simply birthing them has gone down.
