Wait, if the valleys in this plot are supposed to line up with humanity's misfortunes, why is the Islamic Golden Age and the discovery of the new world in the valleys? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-prt5d6m6s#t=04m40s This is called finding a pattern where there is none. A lot of CTers are especially prone to this bias, but everyone has a tendency for it: http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/michael_shermer_the_pattern_behind_self_deception.html</p> (And here's a funner one by Shermer: http://www.ted.com/talks/michael_shermer_on_believing_strange_things.html )

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | I would like to see someone present me the universal consciousness as a scientific theory without the mention of anything pseudoscientific, drugs, new age hippy religious overtones, modern charlatan guru references/citations and quotes. Where is the science for this claim that puts forward a valid testable theory we can all try out with working parameters and results to compare ? I would also like to see any other scientific theories with testable parameters that can be put forward for any of these other claims these techno hippies make. Not metaphysics, not pseudo quantum physics none of this stuff that can not be observed or validated in a testable, repeatable set up. People somehow think they are special and are going to become demi gods, super enlightened and connected to everything in the universe by their thoughts. And have the ability to use technology to bounce back and forward in time and manipulate the fabric of the universe at their will. To be blunt it's insanity at present and has no grounding in reality, it is no better than believing in an imaginary super human that rules the universe from a chair.

Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | Honestly I think the 2012 hype is much bigger now than it will be at the time. The assumption by all the New Agers and CTs out there is that the "buzz" regarding 12/21/12 will grow to a crescendo and peak on the event itself. I don't think it will. The big blockbuster movie about it has already come and gone, and I think it's already receding in the public consciousness. It's 2 1/2 years away. I think people will mostly forget about it by the time it happens. The week before, there will be amusing news stories about it to the effect of, "Remember back in 2009/10 when everybody was talking about the end of the world in 2012? Ha ha ha, isn't it funny that nobody remembers it now!" I don't even think it's going to be half as big as Y2K was at the time, which wasn't very big.

But knowing how unpredictable humans can be, I highly doubt it. I hope there is a shift in consciousness, and I hope it makes people realize how full of shit this stuff usally is. Level: 0 CS Original | >>In fact go one better I want to see a video of you drinking moose piss from a bowl after its eaten some fly agarics. For what reason, anticultist? Tell you what, find where I've written things about humans producing moose piss naturally and I'll get right on it. Until then, I'll be waiting for your urine video. I mean, DMT is naturally produced, right? It must be perfectly fine and well with all that natural processing. If it wasn't, I'm not sure why it would be relevant. Or you could just admit that's one hell of a weak method of promoting DMT's supposed benefits and safety. Wouldn't be anything I haven't heard before.
