Bacon Pancakes! Making Bacon Pancakes, take some Bacon and I'll put it in a Pancake! Bacon Pancakes that's what it's gonna make...Bacon Pancaaaaaake!! ♪ Level: 3 | http://youtu.be/bTbLslkIR2k So I'm going to post this as a quick review, I know 2012 has a more thorough review of it but I figure I'd give my 2 cents. Culture In Decline is Peter Joseph Merola's new and "Worst Reality TV Show" and I thought that was a fitting title. Not only is it bad, but it's not a reality show at all, no is what he is saying rooted in reality. We get to see him blab (even once with his mouth full of food, gross) for 30 minutes while he shows pictures and clips from YouTube. Basicly it's just a typical YouTube video commentary with too much empahsis on visual eye candy and not enough on substance. You have to be reaching if you have to go to Venice Beach to conduct interviews (*coughArronRussocough*) He says something that are down right... stupid for lack of a better word. He doesn't know the difference between a tax cut and a bailout or a president and a monarch. Says that non-establishment candidates get ignored and marginalized. Mentions Paul, Nader, and Kucinich specifically even though they weren't at all. Says that independent and 3rd parties don't get invited to the debates (I guess Ross Perot never debated Clinton and Bush) Says we should nationalize the Federal Reserve. Says corporations control what politicians say (though Paul, Kucinich, and Nader manage to not be affected by this?) Says this is a "Two perty dictatorship. (whatever the fuck that means.) That democracy allows free market to keep it's promise; the freedom to manipulate everything (Whatever the fuck that means.) Shows a clip of him debating Obama and McCain and (surprise surprise!) Obama and McCain hang their heads in defeat. Lumps the ACLU with Michael Moore, OWS, DemocracyNOW and Annie Leonard then call them "intelligent activists." I'm not even going to mention the conclusion or critique it. Because we all know if you build conclusions on faulty premises, you don't bother with it. What I find most entertaining is a (I believe) a jab at your's truly at 15:50. He shows an mock anti-conspiracy blog with the the "about this blog" discription reading: MY NAME IS JIMBO AND I THINK PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN CONSPIRASEES ARE STUPID-HEADS! I lol'd Basically This is just Zeitgeist 4 in bite sized chunks. He's done away with having experts and just goes with pull whatever works out of your ass and go with it. It's hardly worth going into a full rebuttal. These are all things that have been addressed by virtually every skeptic of TZM since 2008. | |||||
