Conspiracy Theorists can be such hypocrites. here's why I say this: Most will hear whatever those that they follow tell them, and mindlessly believe what they say without giving it a second thought, and then they tell us not to do the same. Especially when it comes to conspiracy theories about the Illuminati. An example I ran across while listening to music via Youtube include one where the CTer said "Just because a rapper says that it isn't real doesn't mean that it isn't", and then goes on to call people "idiots" for not believing.

They call us idiots for thinking that this stuff isn't true and call us idiots for believing celebrities who say that they don't believe in/aren't a part of what they're accused of being a part of. Yet I wonder how many of them realize that if that makes us idiots, then they're JUST as idiotic, if not more.

These people hear what fellow conspiracy theorists say and believe it all without giving it much rational thought. They assume that any musician etc... who speaks out against something (ex. the Illuminati, 9/11, etc...) are telling the truth, and the rest are all liars. They're rationale seems to basically go like this: "Oh, Immortal Technique, Hopsin, and Prodigy all say the Illuminati is real so they MUST be right", "Lupe Fiasco and Charlie Sheen think 9/11 was an inside job, so it HAD to be one"

that's pretty much how they're thinking seems to be. They hear some musicians who say it's real and they believe it automatically (ex. Jonathan Davis of Korn, Prodigy of Mobb Deep's prison letter rant, Hopsin's twitter rants on August 2nd - check that one out, I bet 95% of his fanbase probably believed every word he said in his rants without much thought -, and pretty much any song where a rapper or singer rants on about the Illuminati)

Those people ^ don't have some secret knowledge or info that we need, they just believe something due to their belief system, personal thoughts, how they view the world etc... (ex. Hopsin's a Christian, so it doesn't surprise me that he believes this stuff, and believes that the music industry and the world are "satan's playground", but he isn't some god-like prophet, he's just an underground rapper who claims that the Illuminati is real and he "knows" it, "knows" probably meaning heard it from someone or saw it on the Internet. Just like everyone else in the world who found out about it)

CT ers call us idiots for believing the people who say they aren't part of it are telling the truth. Yet they're just as idiotic and they don't realize it. They're so quick to believe anything that these people will tell them and they act as if these musicans, etc... are preaching some gospel, and anyone who's denying it are liars/puppets. They take any lyrics or statement made by a celebrity as literal and don't try to decode it on their own. They take it as literal instead of actually looking at what they say before and after that statement, and they forget the fact that people sometimes talk about things figuratively

(A good example is Melyssa Ford's interview where she states "if you want to be famous, you're gonna do alot to get there, like sign your name in blood, in a contract with the devil? that's pretty much what you're gonna do". Theorists just hear that and assume she's talking literally, clearly forgetting that right after she says "I've seen people sacrifice their moral code for a few moments of fame and it's not worth it, it's really not worth it" - an obvious indication that she's most likely talking figuratively. "Moral Code" not "soul", those two things have nothing in common)

These people seem to think that celebrities are gods among men - which they're not. They're just ordinary flawed human beings like the rest of us. When a celebrity screws up, does something stupid, gets addicted to drugs, or gets locked up etc... that's not the Illuminati's doing, that's their own doing, they're not prone to making mistakes. Just because a celebrity believes something doesn't make it true, they don't have some superpower that helps them decipher what's true or false, they just fall into the same trap that most of us once did, and are still trying to avoid falling back into.

comment what you think about my post, i feel it had to be said

it's true, and especially with mass media. they'll say media always lies to you, but then they'll use clip after clip to prove something. so basically media only lies when it doesn't help with what we're promoting.

it's because conspiracy theories are a religion, only those with blind faith need apply within, all others are paid to disagree. the same is true for other ideological belief systems: organic food, radical veganism, both anti-zionism and zionism, etc.

just watch: next time there's an article on CNN or something that says organic food is good/safer/etc then it'll be promoted, but then if the same web site later has something about how GMOs aren't dangerous/etc then they're in the pockets of big business.

anything I didn't include that I probably should have, or anything I maybe didn't discuss well enough?

Anyway it felt good to let this out. I used to believe these Illuminati theories, now I don't. Although the fear still comes back from time to time, I manage to shake it off but it just keeps coming back. I keep telling myself just because some musician believes in the Illuminati, or that the NWO is already here etc... doesn't make it true, as they're not immune to believing BS (as I stated), yet sometimes that isn't enough to convince myself not to worry. I wish I could just permanently stop worrying about it but it's hard. Ok maybe the US government is corrupt and terrorist like to some degree, but that doesn't prove the Illuminati's existence. You can try to prove 9/11 was an inside job, and even if you succeed you still haven't proven the connection that the "Illuminati" has with it, probably because it's all bullshit
