this is something that I never have believed (I still don't), same with the theories about HAARP being able to control the weather. However, the whole Chemtrail theory has always interested me for some reason.
I just watched this video which discusses the validity of these claims and basically debunks it at the same time:

I've always been curious, why do some contrails manage to last much longer than others. Where the hell did theorists get the idea that these "persistent contrails" are actually "chemical trails" being spread by the government which are affecting all of us. I dunno where they get these ideas from.

on the side: here's some food for thought: if these alleged "chemtrails" are affecting everyone on the ground level who are within a certain range of this "trail", wouldn't that ALSO affect the government administers etc... who ordered the chemicals to be sprayed in the first place? that's why I've always found this hard to believe, it's one little thing that is always overlooked by nutters

I am conflicted about this - yes I agree on chemtards and how idiotic they all are but I recently met a really hot chick who is convinced we are being sprayed. I am hoping I don't insult her too bad before I get to spray her.

Not once in the video does he address chemtrails. All he does is talk for a minute about one theory that environmental scientists have about combating global warming. The theory is that sulfur dioxide would be released into the atmosphere to reflect more of the Sun's rays, making the Earth cooler to combat rising temperatures. Of course, the conspiratards jump and shout all over the place, assuming he's talking about chemtrails. He isn't. He's only talking about a theory; it hasn't been put into practice yet. But that won't shut them up.
