It is isn't it, though I do hang out with said former hippies to listen to their advice about how they got rich so I can copy them for the most part.

I'm at the stage they was, when they was poor.

Hopefully in 20 years time, I'll be a rich bastard like them :-)

Only nicer..

Its perhaps interesting that one of the things that helped folk like me 20 years ago was the internet, and its helped me get to where I am now, which is far more along the road than I would otherwise be. (Basically I'm sure I'd be just a homeless guy struggling to run a business from a telephone kiosk.. (Slight Alan Sugar references there, as his first office was a telephone box!))

Nowdays, with a billion people is it online, it should be even easier..

Actually, its only a little easier than before, as the vast majority of people online are idiots..

Lucky for me, hardly anyone like that around here :-)

This is one of those meaty spots where one picks up wisdom, so I'm soaking up the rays.

Why do people keep talking about this? 99% of hippies stayed poor or stopped being hippies. I dated plenty of girls in high school and college who had parents that were dirty, old, poor hippies. You can name a few rich ones, but almost none became rich.

Indeed.

Why do you think that is ?

(Did the wannabe rich hippies find the internet, or did the internet help make them rich hippies..)

I suppose, being you had to have half a brain to get on the internet years ago, it was a self selecting process..

Perhaps I should introduce an IQ test for forum membership :-)
