...Just look at some of the comments posted in the community...Some are sane enough to know it's bullshit and yet there's one dumbass amongst them who thinks she's got it all figured out. Illuminati, white supremacist? I thought they were child-sacrificing Satan worshippers? What will they be next? Ice cream sellers?

The ORIGINAL Illuminati, not the propaganda version of the 20th century CREATED by Christians, had members ranging from all possible races. Illuminati was in fact one of the first groups to allow women to join them. Huh? You didn't know that? Well, what a suprise!

If Jay-Z has to respond to these rumours, you KNOW this nonsense has gotten far out of hands.

LET'S GET SOME THINGS STRAIGHT

1.Satan and Lucifer = Two different entities.
2.Satan is the adversary CREATED by God to test God's disciplines whereas Lucifer was the brightest angel of them all with a completely different purpose.
3.Lucifer has been mentioned ONCE in the bible and it was in Isaiah. This passage does NOT talk about Lucifer the angel, but a FALLEN KING. This passage in question is one of the reasons to why people think Lucifer is Satan, yet this is once again a misunderstanding caused by TRANSLATION.
4.Lucifer is called the lightbringer because he is associated with the planet Venus. Venus rises before the Sun, thus Lucifer is seen as a bringer of knowledge in occult circles, NOT a bringer of evil.
5. Do Freemasons worship Lucifer? If they do, then they worship a bringer of knowledge and Light. Not an evil caricature created by Christians to convert pagans into Christianity.
6. "He and that guy used Baphomet in a music video, thus he worships Satan!" Your ignorance in symbolism is showing. Baphomet represents the forces between light and dark, good and bad ALL brought into BALANCE in one being. That being in this case being Baphomet. The purpose of all occultists, freemasons and other spiritualists is to gain this balance between their darker and lighter sides. OH GOD! SO EVIL!

6 facts. Is this a coincidence? 666, the number of the beast, right?! NO! 616 is the number of the beast. Didn't know that? Well, what a suprise...

Re Lucifer as Venus:

Lucifer is also the translation of Helel Ben Shahar. In Canaanite mythology Shahar was the god of the dawn and Shalim was the god of the dusk. So quite literally it means son of the dawn.

Personally, if I was famous...I'd put as many satanic symbols in my songs as possible.

Soon, all conspiracy guys would stop talking to me, because I'm evil and out to kill them if they waste my time, which is exactly the frame I want to have.

Conspiracy theorists have been on Jay Z's case for a while now. It is so easy seeing how they are just spinning the meaning of his songs "Lucifer" and "D'Evils", and finding any kind of symbolism in music videos and photos of him to project their crank beliefs. It is good seeing Jay throw words at them in a song lol....

There is this former member of that rap group Public Enemy by the name of Professor Griff who is now a big time conspiracy theorist doing lectures and selling books. Here is a clip of someone interviewing him so he can reveal 'the truth' about the Illuminati.

The conspiracy theorists on there are already having massive psychological clashes with this song, lol. They are twisting his words in order to validate their beliefs.

Thanks Ed for adding that into the list. The more facts the better!

Alton, lol the guy from prodigy (not the UK prodigy) is doing the same thing. "Shame" he's in jail.

Elm, not suprised. They are fantastic at twisting things, which is why I think they should all just try to write sci-fi books, since most of them are so creative. :P

They just love the black and white checked floorboards, the devil hooks finger signs and of course the pyramid/eye statues. If any of those show themselves in a video you better believe the CT's are going to fall all over it.

If I were a rapper or anyone at all with talent, I'd just have video after video with as many Masonic, Satanic, imaginary Illuminati, etc. symbols that would set them off.

I had a CT demand that I prove that Jay-Z was not a "slave to the devil/Illuminati/Freemasons."

In fact it's posted: http://conspiracyscience.com/site/hate-mail/view/54/your-views-on-anti-semtism-are-highly-misguided-and-incorrect/

I've been lurking for a while and I found this thread.

Thank you, Anouk, for pointing these things out. It's refreshing.

"Baphomet represents the forces between light and dark, good and bad ALL brought into BALANCE in one being. That being in this case being Baphomet. The purpose of all occultists, freemasons and other spiritualists is to gain this balance between their darker and lighter sides. OH GOD! SO EVIL!"

Perhaps this why there are checkered tiles in black and white used as symbols in many places.

I still wonder who these people are that believe these things and keep putting these symbols all over the place. Are they all Freemasons or are they people that practice the occult arts. Or do freemasons practice the occult arts?

And why do they do this in secret, yet display these symbols publicly?

Good point. Thanks for reminding me of those things :)

I still have weird feelings over this one, though:

http://vigilantcitizen.com/?p=5638

(yes, I'm aware that Vigilant Citizen is not a good source of information most of the time...it's more about the murals themselves...they have such blatant use of many of the symbols that most conspiracy believers seem to think are signs of the NWO).

I don't think everything is explained by pareidolia and apophenia, but I don't think there is much that CAN'T be explained by those things.

Why would they paint a mural like that in the Bank of America? Why not paint something nice and non-controversial/strange, like some trees and flowers or something, especially in a place like the Bank of America?

You sound like a concern troll.

I don't think the murals are controversial. They're just not my particular taste when it comes to art.

Many people aren't aware of nutbags who read shit into every single thing. That probably explains why the artist used the symbolism he did. I heard a podcast that explained the artist's intentions with the imagery he used and it was totally benign.

What is a concern troll? I know what a troll is, however...and you might not want to believe me, but I am not trolling. i'm just asking. It just seems weird that they would choose such a mural and it seems out of place.

I'm not saying it's because there's a conspiracy or something. But I do wonder what it's supposed to represent.

And I think I used the wrong word when I used controversial. I just meant that, almost everyone who believes in the "occult" conspiracies will probably see it as evidence of the existence of the NWO, even if it's not. But then, maybe the artist knows nothing about conspiracy theories and was unaware of this.

Thanks for your post.

http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4194</p>

The swastika theory was bolstered by the Nazi-like figure in those artistic murals depicting, supposedly, the Illuminati's plans to reduce the Earth's population. In fact those two creepy murals were each half of a diptych, a two-part mural, each depicting a hopeful message of man's journey from brutality to peace. They were made by Chicano artist Leo Tanguma, one of several artists commissioned to paint similar murals throughout Denver International. The Children of the World Dream of Peace shows a menacing Nazi-style soldier wreaking havoc and fear, and includes a poem written by an actual child who died at Auschwitz. In the second half of this diptych, the soldier is dead, and the children of all nations come together over his corpse and beat the world's swords into plowshares, inspired by the Bible verses Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3.

Tanguma's other mural, In Peace and Harmony with Nature, shows the Earth suffering from exploitation, and some species extinct and now found only behind museum glass, mistaken by the conspiracy theorists for elite species being protected from the Apocalypse. The alleged Mayan reference to 2012 is simply a small piece of carved stone with Mayan-style decorations held by one figure in the mural and representing the decline of indigenous populations. (Tanguma himself is a Mayan.) The second half of this diptych shows children from all nations gathering at the flowering tree of peace on a rejuvenated Earth.

But the conspiracy theorists have been told all this; they simply choose to regard it as untrue; in part because of that warning etched into the floor near Tanguma's murals that Australia Antigen will be used to kill us all. Colorado is well known for its history of gold and silver mines, and so a mine car full of Au and Ag is a most appropriate symbol for the state. Is it also an appropriate symbol for a planned genocide by the Illuminati? Well, a mine car doesn't seem to have any particular significance to genocide; if the mine car was put there to confuse us and throw us off the trail, and the idea was for the clue to be obfuscated, why give the clue at all? Australia Antigen is indeed sometimes abbreviated as Au Ag, but its true common abbreviation is HBsAg, for Hepatitis B antigen. By itself it would not be much of a biological weapon. If you exposed everyone to Australia Antigen, you'd essentially just inoculate them against Hepatitis B. An antigen is not the disease germ itself, it is simply any substance that provokes an immune response. Australia Antigen is merely the protein found on the surface of the Hepatitis B virus. By itself, it's harmless. A vaccine has existed for some time against Hepatitis B, and many people have received it. Even if you haven't, Hepatitis B is treatable and is rarely fatal; and so, again, a pretty poor choice for a mechanism of global genocide.

The other words in the floor (the "alien language") are Navajo names for sacred mountains in Colorado, once again, a significant part of the state's history.

That's actually for a different mural...the Denver Airport mural. I'm familiar with it and I don't see it as evidence for the NWO or a conspiracy of any kind.

But it's also a good example of how someone can see evil intentions where none exist and how people can interpret symbols to have different meanings from the ones that were intended.

That's the thing about this supposed New World Order - for a group of people who want to stay covert, they sure do drop hints all over the place.

While I agree the Denver Airport mural is just plain bad art, and in my opinion; very ugly. I don't think there's anything woo about it.

LOL so true.

There were some pretty strange murals at my old school and I am pretty sure it wasn't some secret NWO headquarters.

I always thought the exact same thing. We need to make a comprehensive list of all the various hints, symbols and what not that the NWO/Illuminati has dropped.

The thing is art is supposed to convey ideas, sometimes abstract ones. Artists often use "symbolism" in their art. The majority of murals I've seen do have that same look and obviously some people may find them creepy and as signs of an impending NWO, but lets face it people can find NWO symbolism in a Lady GaGa video too..
