![]() I can't stop posting pictures of poop, what the fuck is wrong with me? Level: 5 CS Original | Got this on my Zeitgeist movement facebook from tanktop. I'm not much of a licensing guru but I did check up on the license agreement. I do not think I'm violating it over looking the fact that the TZM creative commerce license has technically expired. "©Copyright 2008-2009 The Zeitgeist Movement. Portions Licensed under the Creative Commons License: License" Below is the comment by Tanktop and my response XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX start of FB chat Tank Top says: The site which you are posting on walls (http://tzm.hopto.org/index/) is simply a copy of content from www.thezeitgeistmovement.com. Furthermore, you have copied content from the zeitgeist movement web site verbatim. This content is licensed under the creative commons license with a requirement that use be non-commercial, and that it be ATTRIBUTED. You are violating the copyright by not following the terms of the license. Zeit Geist ©Copyright 2008-2009 The Zeitgeist Movement. Portions Licensed under the Creative Commons License: License <--If you had a leg to stand on but here anyways to close the deal, license has expired tanktop :) Billlll response: Anyways your license is a "Licensees may copy, distribute, display, and perform the work and make derivative works based on it only for noncommercial purposes." "Non-commercial (also spelled noncommercial) refers to an activity or entity that does not in some sense involve commerce, at least relative to similar activities that do have a commercial objective or emphasis. For example, non-commercial radio stations are typically non-profit and do not run explicit advertisements, included in the United States specific grouping of "non-commercial educational" broadcast. Some Creative Commons licenses include a "non-commercial" option, controversial in definition[1] and application.[2]" "Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work)." "Noncommercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes." I think you misunderstand the license agreement, creative commerce at least your license agreement requires that the individual be make no money commercially based on the material of that website. That isn't a copyright license tanktop. I do not make any money on the site based on the zeitgeist material. "Share Alike — If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one." I agree to the license and as such my website and the content of the website are under a similar license. " Furthermore, you have copied content from the zeitgeist movement web site verbatim." That is in fact hilarious again your not a copyright website and if you tried to go on that ground alone it's simply laughable. Your license is to make sure that if the content is reused that it is reused for the strict purposes of 1. not making money on a commercial bases <--- I clearly do not do this on the facebook or the website 2. that any content posted from the zeitgeist movement website be given credit accordingly without it looking like the website in question is supporting the content being used 3. the website needs to have a a cc license or it needs to have a similar license agreement. I agree and follow to all these terms :D I'm not going to give you credit for creating the topics to the website Tanktop that's simply laughable. That would require anybody for example that posts information from the zeitgeist movement onto their website to give you or the website credit. you don't have a leg to stand on. At that Joomla has a separate license for the forum. What I will because I think the topics I have on my forum as well as your forum website are redundant is revise the topics because I was going to do that already =P end of FB chat the Zeitgeist creative commons agreement is "The Zeitgeist Movement Web Site, including all textual content, the Movement Guide, the movement logo, and navigational images, is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License. Portions of this web site may be covered by other licenses, including, but not limited to forum postings, chapter sites, user-supplied uploaded images, and personal profiles. The movies, videos, and other multimedia content are licensed separately. See each item for details. This content is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. User is responsible for compliance with applicable laws in their region." http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/us/<br /> 1. Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work). 2. Noncommercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes. 3.Share Alike — If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one. My zeitgeist movement is http://tzm.hopto.org, I'm thinking I'm legal right now but then again i'm not a lawyer. If I am not or have recommendation/ideas post them up here and I'll take a look, I'm going to be in contact with my lawyer as well to ask about the licensing.

![]() President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho: porn star and five-time ultimate smackdown wrestling champion! Level: 150 CS Original | Should have went with Active Zeitgeist like Eric suggested, I think it's a good name too, and it's different enough to avoid problems or to create plausible deniability.

![]() I can't stop posting pictures of poop, what the fuck is wrong with me? Level: 5 CS Original | I do not think the name is much of a problem. That certainly does not have anything pertaining towards creative commons as cc is towards the website and the content on the website (excluding portion of information on the website that may be under a different licensing altogether.. In a legality sense they would actually need to make the Zeitgeist movement copyright trademark then in a legality sense I'd have some problems unless I found services outside of america to host my site. At that I think it's perfectly ok to call my movement the zeitgeist movement because I am the zeitgeist movement and I support the zeitgeist movement. So far they are indicating to me a hierarchal structure which would mean their is a leader. I will try and revamp the topics as I always thought they were a bit redundant/wordy/not organic at all... Active Zeitgeist sounds like a good name I'll consider it if they ever take me to court and win over this issue. To my knowledge they do not have the correct license to control their brand cult name yet.
