Muertos, "most war mongers" was between USA & Australia, not the world. I am aware that there are many more violent places that the USA but how many of those sit above them when it comes to being a world super power? The reason I seem to focus on the USA is because the people around here have said that they know little about what happens elsewhere.

The reason you focus on the United States is because you are ignorant of current events, contemporary events and historical events.

Also you do it because you simply like to bash the country. That's "pretty much" why you're a bigot.

I await the pity of the oh so morally superior Nic Cortese.

Not really, no.

Are you implying that your country is immune to racism? I wonder if the aboriginal people would say that.

Nah, I don't think so. Let's continue this discussion about why certain people think its fashionable to bash Americans. I'd love to hear more fantastic and factually inaccurate reasons for bigotry.

No it is different Jared Loughner killed high profile people within society the other kids killed students and just random people Loughner on the other hand killed politicians or attempted to and other high status authority figures. The Zeitgeist Movement is against politics, families, opinions and money.

We're not bashing America. This is a discussion about violence in Western nations, and so it is only fair to discuss western nations. There are people alleging unequivocally that ZI must take the full blame for putting Jared in the mindset he was in to lead to the shooting, and therefore the film is a film that creates murderers bla bla bla. This discussion then progressed to a discussion about violence in two Western nations, one of those being the US (which is appropriate to a discussion based around Jared) and the other being Australia which is fair to compare with America - especially considering that many of the basic values of Australia are the same as America, and that we're kind of near the same rung of the ladder in terms of wealth (generally speaking). The conclusion then was that it's not fair to say that ZI was the cause of this shooting because, if it was, why hasn't violence increased for many nations as a result of this film that's been viewed by 100,000,000+ people? Why is there just one isolated incident in America? Because he was a deranged guy. In-fact, this isn't even about America ... it's just about an extremely mentally hurt individual that needed help and clearly wasn't given any. People love to have something to blame because they can't accept that we live in a world where many people are easily prone to 'becoming insane'. Even if you don't agree with TZM, the world is very very very fucked up - and it shouldn't be surprising that these things happen. Obama was right when he said that the nation was collectively responsible, because the nation, indeed the world, is.

Scapegoating isn't okay, even for things we may not like. In the same way it is not Christianity's fault that the crusades happened. It is not Europe's fault that Germany became a dictatorship (although some would try and blame the treaty of Versailles 100%). It is not...oh I think I'll just stop here, getting distracted again.

You have not shown that there is more violence in the United States than anywhere else. I'm not sure what "western nations" means. Seems like another weak generalization.
