Its perfectly fine to have an opinion on gun nuts, gun laws and even guns themselves. I have opinions on them myself.

But its not perfectly fine to post an unsourced graphic as some sort of trump card to justify an opinion.

No, I'm not saying you're doing that Ed. But Brenton certainly is.

Wow Matt, that response was very untroll like ;)

I personally think its more complicated than just looking at a graph as well.

For example european countries have lower alcohol age restrictions and have much less alcohol related problems from young people compared to the UK, but that doesn't mean lowering the age restrictions in the UK would make things better, because the culture is different.

I understand this graph is global firearm deaths that you try to pass off as violent acts committed but just in general think about how many unreported VIOLENT cases go unreported in such places as Africa, Mexico etc... I think that will give you a better understanding of why I think this graph misrepresenting.

PLEASE read back through this thread. If it's not a country of Western European descent then it does not matter to this discussion since they're the countries we're focussing on.
Also I skimmed the rest of your post and hence didn't get any substance from it. Soz.

This impressive array of dots isn't sourced. We have no idea where you got it from, but I suspect Bill's right and it came from an anti-gun group with an agenda to push...

Well, um, if you actually looked at the graph properly you'd see the sources right below it. Have another look sweetpea.

I personally think its more complicated than just looking at a graph as well.

Wow well done state and obvious an' all. Did anyone posting in this thread pretend that this graph is some holy grail that explains the whole situation? UH, NO.

I don't agree with most of the "gun nuts" reasons for wanting guns... they seem to think that they need a gun on them so they can stop crime like a super hero and stop government controlling the people or something. What a load of crap.

Hmmm. My discussions with people that want the right to have guns differ. There's apparently a saying in Texas (Americans verify?) that a "society with guns is a polite society" meaning that if everyone has guns no one is going to shoot anyone because the shooter knows they'll then get shot dead so everyone just behaves themselves.
It doesn't seem very logical, but that's what I hear a lot.

So this is the great response that took Brenton 24 hours to come up with, huh?

I can't say I'm really that surprised.

I see. So needing more time was really about needing time to rationalize why it didn't matter that you were wrong about everything you've posted.

I understand.

@Beauty Killer no I think you ran off because you know we're making sense. You can't do half assed Peter Joseph Merola research. I'm all for graphs if they have description and reasons etc.. This did not it was wrong it's not right on any level besides ignorance and or deception. What you are doing in that graph is wrong. Now you can say your right but that still doesn't make your "right" to me in my opinion and I will say something about it if I feel the need too.

Are we talking about this post? Because I never said I was making a long post to this one. I am completely right on with the way I used this graph in this post, what is wrong is the way you interpreted it and what is also wrong is the fact that you denied it has reliable sources even though they're listed right below the graph.

I'm all for graphs if they have description and reasons etc..

Links are in the image, idiots.

I'm not even bothered with this anymore, because even if you idiots do manage to find the URLs below the graph you will probably not be able to scribe the web-address out correctly to get to the website, and then give up. And then we'll go back in circles again. Oh the joy.

Also Bill I didn't read the end of your post because there was some bad grammar towards the end and my brain shut off.

Yes Brenton. Everyone here is just too stupid to understand the relevance of your graph. You're a beacon of wisdom in a world of darkness.

Everyone else is wrong, Brenton is right.

Not much has really changed since you ragequit TZM.

Well, go to the sources. Stop telling me that it's a sourceless graph from an anti-gun website with no data to back it up, cos that's just not true. No matter how much you continue to insist it is.

Honestly it's almost tempting to bring this back to it's 'anti-america' posts. Is conversational etiquette different in your country to most Western nations? Cos if it is, I wasn't aware - my apologies.

You don't seem to understand what people are asking you for.

We're asking you for the source of the graph, not the sources used in the graph.

You're just not that bright.

@Beauty Killer I rather be a part time not so good spelling and grammar person on the internet (not so in real life) than a person pushing a half assed data of a collection of dots as fact; At that a person who refuses to admit their mistake or acknowledge that they may have errored or learned something new.

You're just not that bright.

Attack my intelligence as much as you want. My test results are always above state-average (which is very good for one of the smartest nations on Earth)...

I don't understand why you'd need the source of the graph when it's simple enough to peruse the information and see for yourself that the graph is an accurate representation of accurate statistical data. For that reason I'm not going to tell you where I got it from, but I will tell you it wasn't an anti-gun website.

a person pushing a half assed data as fact

If this graph is half-assed, then your grammar should result in you being banned from the internet.

I rather be a part time not so good spelling and grammar person on the internet (not so in real life)

Is that because you don't have to write anything in real life? Nawwwwwww. It's not easy is it?

I see.

So you're either unable or unwilling to reveal the source of the graph and yet you expect people to instantly believe it's accuracy.

Are you on drugs Brenton?

@Beauty Killer

>>If this graph is half-assed, then your grammar should result in you being banned from the internet.<<

Excuse me the presenter of the graph is half assed and doesn't know how to present information correctly. I believe your raged again settle down Lady Gaga. Their is a difference between grammar and spelling errors in writing bullshit such as Paultard shit, than a graph with a collection of dots that your trying to pass off as global violence.

>>Attack my intelligence as much as you want. My test results are always above state-average (which is very good for one of the smartest nations on Earth)...<<

I won't attack your intelligence.

Protip: You need more than a nose job.

>>Is that because you don't have to write anything in real life? Nawwwwwww. It's not easy is it?<<

As much as your wonderful display of graphs and violence makes any sense and yet you try to pass it off as fact? What do you mean "it's not easy is it?"?
